It wasn't Luffy. Joyboy apparently had the ability to seal his Haki within others (or at least in this case, Emeth, the iron giant.) Emeth had the ability to unseal it to save either himself or someone else in an emergency.I was right about the message ending.
Also, damn, Luffy Conqueror's Haki'd the Five Elders (or their projections) away.
Finally, that robot flashback was cute.
I think that was Joyboy's Conqueror's HakiI was right about the message ending.

Nope, it's not his--dammit ninja'd.Also, damn, Luffy Conqueror's Haki'd the Five Elders (or their projections) away.
Seems like my prediction of Vegapunk’s speech being shifted into Whitebeard’s declaration was on the money.I was right about the message ending.

And now it seems Imu has that hat now.I took a closer look at that knot that Emeth is pulling on. It looks like the rope is attached to a straw hat. That hat was probably the vessel for Joyboy's haki.
I don’t think it’s a final battle thing. At most, it’ll probably a hurdle for Luffy to face before taking on the Gorosei (again) and Imu.A real fight between Coby and Luffy as equals would be an amazing start or end to the final battle.
Shit if we are building to Coby vs Luffy being the last big fight I would be chill with that, it would be a good version of Naruto vs Sauske.
The problem with your analysis is that Luffy..really isn't that stupid. He is book dumb, but alot of his "dumb" aspects are just him not caring about shit because..it just doesn't matter.I don’t think it’s a final battle thing. But it would be endgame. My idea of a setup would be that Luffy faces the Marines because he learns the Gorosei are going after Vivi, probably in a repeat of Enies Lobby. And Coby is standing in his way because his job description is “stop pirates from achieving their goals”.
My analysis of this scenario is mainly because Luffy is a dense, simple minded, dimwit, I can’t see how he can be painted as Whitebeard’s proverbial “man carrying the weight of history on his shoulders, who will challenge the world to a fight.”
I guess that’s a better way to put it, but we seem to agree on the same thing: whatever big, grand defining moment folks like Whitebeard and the Gorosei think will happen to change the world…is happening because some guy is trying to help somebody he likes. Or somebody who gave him food. The problem with your analysis is that Luffy..really isn't that stupid. See: Alabasta when Vivi was fucking around about going to see Koza and Luffy called her out on the fact that without taking out Crocodile none of that shit matters.
Or when Big Mom was gonna start shit over Fishman Island not paying it's Tribute he knew that the best way to diffuse it was to give up his giant pile of food.
And the time where he treated Momo like an adult when everyone else including Kinemon was ignoring him.
Luffy bearing the Weight of History on his Shoulders will be entirely reliant on if Luffy gives a shit about that history. All that history might not matter to him, but Imu going after Vivi will..which Imu will do because of whatever History is going on with the Cobra family and Imu, do remember when Kinemon asked Luffy to carry Wano on his shoulders Luffy instantly said yes.

You know, that makes a lot of sense. The treasure of Mary Geoise is probably the means to use that power or how the Gorosei pick their specific forms. And The One Piece is something to counter those forms. And altogether, they make the original Devil Fruits (or their prototype).I think the devil summon/projection and the constant regeneration are Imu's power.
Hope you’re ready to wait for a while. Also, I don’t think Imu is meant to be the most sympathetic person in the world. Maybe not as bad as Blackbeard, but an Imu death will most likely elicit reactions of “Press S to spit on grave”.‘Ages and ages I hope I don’t get lonely.
Don’t worry that won’t be forever’
Yet again more things indicate to me that Imu was Joy Boy and got his mind and body swapped or something. Or Joy Boy failed Imu so hard that he’s hated them forever.
So you’ve essentialy got someone stuck in a castle that can’t die and can’t leave, whose likely only company may be shadow beings of their own creation.
That could make one very loney.
Or perhaps his crew failed him, he ‘died’ and then his friends making him immortal has just made him twisted. And Imu just snapped.
Or maybe he is just a big Kaido and is doing all of this because someone told him that if he did Joy Boy would return.
Regardless all these flashbacks and what we are learning will lead back to Imu directly.
I’m not saying Imu will be sympathetic. I’m saying who Imu was before all this seems like they are being set up to be. Oda is very much ‘it makes sense why you are the way you are but that does not excuse or forgive that’Hope you’re ready to wait for a while.
