I don’t think Oda ever mentioned a winner. Shanks and Mihawk will get their backstory dumps when they have their destiny meetings with Luffy and Zoro. I certainly can’t think of another time when it would happen. And again, I assume it’s by design.
 
I think that Mihawk has the most skill as a swordsman while Shanks has the greatest mastery over haki. Like, if you reduced them to 2 identical copies, stripped the haki, gave them the same stats and had them fight with skill being the only factor, Mikawk would win but if you factor everything, Shanks wins because his haki can be used from afar and can cancel Mihawk 's observation haki.

So the way I can see Vivi coming back is that she gets captured by the world government, brought to Imu, and Luffy (now with pirate king status) goes to Mariejois to rescue her.

I also can’t think of any other reasons the SHs would bring on a permanent member before the endgame happens. If any new crew comes along, it’s because they’re following Joy Boy Pirate King Ultra Instinct Luffy into the final battle to determine the fate of the world.

The whole viv I plot would be redundant. What would be cooler if mars got flung back and tried to attack big news morgan ship after it saw him.
It's about to bring down vivi, morgans and wapol. Then shanks comes out of nowhere and attacks him sending mars and the ship down the sea. No newspaper will come out about egghead. There, we get revealed that needing vivi helps solve the one piece. That will be before elbaf. It helps vivi coming back to the crew, or gives shanks a more greyer side in taking her(former sounds okay).

yeah i think this is almost for sure what will end up happening for the grand battle that is supposed to be bigger than marineford that oda has mentioned. though i do not think laugh tale is going to be where the final battle takes place. i think the final battle is going to be on the red line and it will result in the destruction of the red line and the creation of the all blue. iceberg is almost for sure going to end up making another pluton or making water 7 mobile though.

I don't think it was ever said WHERE the final battle will be. Just that somebody (Luffy) finding The One Piece will start it.

Sounds like a good idea. Only difference I'd say would be to change the idea around Shanks because for as mysterious as Shanks is, Oda has made sure that he's anything but grey, let alone evil.

That's pretty much what every Shanks appearance is supposed to do. And now I'm wondering how Luffy is supposed to surpass Shanks at this point if that's what he can do.

In all Fairness..Luffy would cuck Kid hard so its not like he should be a metric to measure Luffy against.

Quite frankly Kid may have gotten the final shot against Big Mom, but Law was the one that won that fight by disabling Mom's command over the Psycho Hag Ghost.

Yeah, it's this coming Saturday. It's going to be more Koby-focused this week as he tries to make his escape solo (light filler). Next week Saturday, I think we'll get the Marines' raid to pick him up, with Garp doing his Galaxy Impact to close it out.
