OK--I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks this...but the longer I watch One Piece it feels like a detailed Let's Play of a JRPG because it follows through so many of the video game clichés and it's getting harder and harder to ignore, but going back to the East Blue you can see it:

- Most JRPGs usually have you paired in the very beginning with an NPC who will never join you on your main quest and is totally weak, Koby will play that role.
- Like JRPGs, everyone's age runs young, before the Grand Line the average age of the Straw Hats is 18.
- You know how JRPGs have bosses that try to teach you (as a player) about a new mechanic that will serve you later in the game? They do here too, like Devil Fruits or Haki, Buggy is the first one with those powers.
- You have your scripted "boss fight to lose" that will effortlessly destroy you in one blow (Mihawk).
- If you start early enough you can see the game patched in real time, Zoro gets nerfed with poor sense of direction because he's too powerful, Sanji gets nerfed to become more of a simp and unable to fight women.
- You can be stabbed, shot, crucified, electrocuted, impaled, or otherwise beaten to an inch of your life but only deaths happen when the story demands it. Paulie is stronger than Belle-Mere, sure, but the reason he can survive getting shot multiple times point blank and Belle-Mere will die on the spot is because Belle-Mere is in the equivalent of a cutscene. This manifests in Zoro getting sliced to ribbons regularly but only Mihawk's attack causing a scar, or anyone, friend or foe, sustaining injuries to the face but it's only Spandam who has to hold his skull together with leather straps.
- Then you have your requisite video game settings you have to visit...the Baroque Works arc features an island with giants, a desert island, a winter island, and then in the Skypiea arc following, a floating sky island....and I'm only up to Enies Lobby.
- Chopper has the role of that mid-to-late game party member where they're not quite a straight fighter and relies more on gimmicks and fighting modes to be effective.
- Starting with Crocodile, you have to actually exploit the boss's weakness rather than just relying on raw power.
- Franky is like that boss you meet with amazing powers but then once he joins your party he's not nearly as powerful.

SBS confirms Hibari has the big hots for Koby. Literally went into a battlefield because she lost her stuffed bear. And got it back. Bear is called Koby Senpai. Nice to know Koby has probably got laid at least once

Bonny’s Fruit is the Age Age Fruit.

Sword is confirmed to be ‘you can do what you want but if you get caught Marines will deny all knowledge and you are no longer a Marine

Ben took Kidd’s arm.

RE SBS info

Koby has a Big Tiddy Waifu? And has taken the spot of Garp's chosen Heir? Koby is a true Chad now.

So i find this interesting

The younger Dragon states he spend time with the Marines and he found no justice there. Sounds as if Garp forced him to become a Marine and Dragon became disilusioned with his duties. Heck maybe he served some Celestial Dragons. That would explain alot

Kuma's story is gonna fucking kill me hnnnngh.

Still no Bonney. Ah yeah, she's really just a kid with the Age-Age Fruit.

Unless Ginny is actually Bonney with amnesia, Kuma's gonna be her rescuer and they'll finally marry and have Bonney. And I'm gonna cry.

Or Ginny dies anyway, and I'll still cry. Should've married her, Kuma, even though his fears about having kids are justified.

Real surprise they did not just tie Dragon into God Valley by having him meet Ivan and Kuma there. Still betting he was there st God Valley. As literaly everyone that were players in all 3 major factions was there. So, it’s an odd choice.

And.absolutely betting that Bonney was Ginny

Given that Garp was at Gold Valley, I am thinking that Dragon was with Garp.

Oh, I see. A poster previously noted on the parallel between Ginny crying over her stomach being full for the first time, and former North Korean citizens after fleeing their country. And now the Sorbet kingdom is divided into North and South sections, where North Sorbetians are free to oppress the South Sorbetians. And Kuma is a bear, and according to legends, Korea was founded by the child of a bear who became a human.

Edit: It was this post. https://kiwifarms.net/threads/one-piece.44239/post-17042558

As i said, everyone else was there, his age would make sense and it tracks with Garp’s MO of trying and failing with his family and you don’t get more ‘no justice’ than being asked to defend CDs. So I’m just real confused why Oda did not have Dragon meet them at God Valley.

Unless of course he was not there but that would be an even stranger move considering everything

I don't think we have seen the last of God Valley's plot.

After all..we haven't gotten a Dragon, Rocks, Garp or Roger flashback.

Actually...what if

we get God Valley retold through everyone's POV Rashamon style.,
Pretty sure that’s what’s happening honestly.

And it probably makes sense honestly since Oda wants to end in like 3 years. Just connect everything in one big event and connect all flashbacks to that event.

I’m honestly expecting The Egg to show up at God Valley and it to be revealed Luffy was in the Egg at this point
