I do wonder if the remnants like that robot are some sort of old school defence mechanism against people like the 5 Elders and Imu, it would be amusing if the rulers of the world literally cannot go to parts of it because old super weapons are going to start up and try to kill them if they do.

That's actually a really interesting point I assumed the robot awakening was related to gear 5 but the time works with Saturn too. [I/SPOILER]
 
Oh God I had a feeling Kuma's story was gonna be the death of me, but not like this. I don't think I steeled myself enough.

Was it once established Ivankov was once a slave before this? That's a surprise for me.

Personally my dream outcome is we never learn Crocodile's secret but it being connected to Ivankof is pretty big tell.

I honestly wouldn't even care that much if Crocodile turned out to be a woman with all the other crazy shit I've just accepted in this series, but the issue for me is that the proponents of that theory are so fucking annoying that I don't want their headcanon to become actual canon. I don't know if you're familiar with the tv show The Blacklist, but the exact same theory popped up for a character there and fucked up the fanbase and the show.

If it helps, there’s no way Oda does not know of it and Oda makes an obvious point of curve balling the most well known theories just to fuck with people.

I’ll use Nika as an example, because it’s probably the best and most recent. Everyone theorised what Luffy’s awakening would do years before and yet everyone was completely blindsided.
 
I knew the Tenryubito were shit but this is on another level. Good thing the revolutionaries wrecked their home a couple of chapters back.

Ivankov might get a fruit here too. Given it's mentioned as a place that has resources it's possible that includes devil fruits.

I like Tekking101's theory that Dragon was actually a Marine and being involved with the God Valley incident is what got him to defect and become a revolutionary. The timing matches.

Everything about this sounds fucked, and I'm sickened, yet curious how this is going to play out. Of fucking course the Celestial Dragons would hunt slaves for competitive sport, it fits their personalities, and this explains why they were there at God Valley to begin with. Apparently their tournament is considered top secret, don't think most know about it, but Tekking brought up a good point that it was never mentioned before now it's a three-year tournament. And apparently the One Piece world is due for another one...

Yeah. They are turning up. They’ve been brought up multiple times this arc and we seem to be getting backstory on all the important stuff all at once.

God Knights were there which is connected to the Revs, Founding Rev Members were there and we know Yonko, Rocks, Roger and Garp are going to show up. And we know Shanks is here somehow.

All the powetlr players in the series are set to be in the same place at the same time. Dragon not being there just wouldn’t make any sense

As for Kuma, likely after. I think it will mirror Kaido.

this chapter made me realize something, Usopp should definitely be hoarding sea stone to make pellets/bullets out of, maybe make them stick with a plant seed he makes up. Seeing Franky instinctively protect Luffy just made me realize against these devil fruit fucks, there would be a great thing to see, Usopp stunning this Saturn faggot and then Zoro/Sanji just going for the kill immediately.

I know they're set up to be the final boss, but I don't want the five elders to be super broken in terms of power. Admirals/Emperors worked as a measuring stick. It would really suck for Oda to go the Bleach route of constantly going stupid high with powers to where it's 3-4 captains vs. just the top Quincies.

I am so eagerly awaiting the Akainu/Dragon team up panel that we are likely to get soon. If only because I expect we are going to get a call back to such in the final fight.
