Just think about it Kuma and Ivan has met. That’s 2 out of the 3 Rev Leaders. And Ivan is usually seen with And the girl is eating meat…
I was kinda joking about Dragon, but Luffy's mom having a connection to the Revolutionaries is a sound theory that I'm all for happening. Would also give Dragon a personal reason to hate Celestials.

Every chapter the Celestials show up Oda gives us a new reason to hate them. It's quite impressive.

Oh absolute. As I said the theory is tin foil but the girl being Luffy’s mom I am totally down with. And because she shows up with Kuma and Ivan I’m betting her connection is with Dragon directly

I was thinking about the last chapter since it's officially out now and I'm kicking myself for not even considering something so obvious It's a Kuma flashback. Ginny is just fucking Bonney's mom. Also that robot waking up to smack Saturn in the face and save the crew is going to be sweet

I was thinking about the flashback in 1095 and

I wonder if Figarland is going to be Mihawk's final fight in the series when everything goes down. I just see a powerful sword guy for an ancillary group of enemies and he seems perfect fodder for Buggy's loyal subordinates to fight at Laughtale or Mary Geoise.

I mean, that was most of pre-timeskip as well to be fair. Oda finds that shit funny.
...Do we know if Kikunojo being a tranny was a Shueisha mandate or not? The early concepts from Road to Laugh Tale mention him and Izo being "the Beautiful Brothers" but nothing about acting like he's a woman.

I was always under the impression that the punchline was the sumo champ wanting to make Kiku his woman, not knowing he’s a he.

Thats why he has to put his feelings into paper instead. Whenever I click on a latest episode there is some furry or drag queen shit going on
His wife was a Nami cosplayer. As for Kikunojo being trans, I highly doubt Shueisha would mandate something like that.

I’m 100% certain it was entirely because Oda wanted it. It’s not the kind of stuff publishers mandate over there.

Also how was Kikunojo ever described in the original Japanese, anyway? Supposedly he just has the heart of a woman, but is he more of a self-described "onnaotoko", literally translated as she-male, or was wording just so vague that that's why English fans are losing their shit over his gender?

The line was "heart of a woman," which, to be fair, can also be used to describe effeminate men. However, I noticed that Kiku passes better than the okama characters, and she seems to be treated as a woman in official merchandise.

Fun fact: I got @darkhorse816 the second figure for her birthday.

Edit: I also noticed that even after the reveal, the anime credits refer to the character as Okiku and not Kikunojo.

Wasn't it "I am a woman at heart"?
And the okamas seem to be self-aware enough not to take themselves too seriously (especially since their leader/patron saint can change anyone's sex at a whim)

also after wano, kiku checks TWO diversity boxes, what with being turned into a slot machine by kaido
