Honestly I can't wait for the Gear 5 reveal, yeah the anime is obviously of wildly varying quality but they always do these specials perfectly. I'm genuinely excited and hope they pull it off well.

Law humiliates himself a lot in One Piece Party. I have all seven volumes if anyone wants a synopsis of each chapter.
Sounds right, since Robin settled in post Eneis Lobby, Law made for a very good straight man to the Antics of the Crew, especially Luffy.

I started off hating Law because he just seemed like..Generic Grouchy Emo man but his interactions with the Crew during the Saga made me absolutely think he is a cool character.

This is one of of the greatest comedic moments in the anime, Law was a perfect choice as a Strawhat ally.

Given the effort that was put into Red Roc and The Initial "Luffy Infuses himself with Supreme King Haki and gets a real hit on Kaido solo" scene I don't think we have to worry.

Red Roc is outright the best Moment in the entire Anime so far, Honestly as hyped as I am for the Moment...I think ultimately Baraj Gun vs Blazing Bakuga will be the thing everyone remembers because that is the moment Luffy defines himself as a Hero.

Rob Lucci is still working with the Straw Hats despite knowing that York is working directly under the orders of the Celestial Dragons.
Have to assume waiting his opportunity. He's a fairly hefty loyalist. Though the exchange with the upper echelons might be giving him info he did not have.

Also Usopp's goddamn expression on that last panel is the second best. The best is Luffy continuing to be the least aware of everything plot relevant while also proposing using a human shield.

Good chapter, nice to see some familiar faces.

Oh. Break next week.

Oh shit, oh fuck.
Enies Lobby's mystery may have been solved. Now we just need to know what was originally there.

op_1089_u_005.pngThe apocalyptic nature of it was the real surprise, though. We should've gotten a scene of Fishman Island, too, that must be devastating news for them.

Also this cover page made me lul.

Also if the note on the front about the patchy release schedule is actually from Oda he put the live action on the same level as a universal ice show.

@Kari Kamiya nice catch.

That is interesting given that the weapon was a test run of the weapon being used which means that Dr. Vegapunk's weapon was a rediscovery or it needed the energy source he discovered.

So is the world..being so much water just a side effect of whatever WMD this is being used multiple times?

Our oceans are only about 4,000-ish meters on average with deeper pockets/trenches here-and-there. One Piece's world has the ocean 10,000 meters across the board, apparently. And the reveal of Wano being a bigger island in the past on top of this chapter supports this idea that islands aren't actually sinking at normal rates, ocean levels are rising due to human fuckery.

Wano may have flooded either during the Void Century, which hid Pluton, or Enies Lobby's original island (or a ship? Lili's ship???) was "disappeared" after the World Government was founded, which caused the ocean levels to rise so rapidly. OR, the presence of such a hole suggests a steady, gradual rise in sea level over time. But now there's two holes.

Though it's said that the Enies Lobby hole exists nowhere else, and as islands still got wiped out due to Buster Calls, it suggests that yes, the technology may have vanished, perhaps as a result of the disastrous effects it has on the planet. But the WG still needed to show people who's boss, so Buster Calls replaced the original method to avoid more disasters.

Im either knew of this and still used the weapon anyway because Im is fucking nuts, or Im (perhaps not the original Void Century figure) didn't realize the consequences but is still mad with power and will use it again.

Shit's fucked.

Depending on who is saying that it could be an outright lie. Enies Lobby might be the one case where they did something with that space.

As an aside this sort of fuckery with the world makes a mountain where water runs uphill a lot less implausible. Or even the Grand Line itself.

the second i saw gear 5 in the manga i was excited for it to show up in the anime simply because of how animation based it is. there is so much potential for gear 5 and i hope it pays off in the end even if it has to be in a later fight down the line that we dont even know about yet.

IIRC Wano was flooded slowly by rainwater after they set the walls up so that isn't connected to rising waters, but given that Vegapunk has created a weapon that can raise water levels world wide, one that potentially existed Pre-Void Century is interesting all on it's own. It explains why so much of the One Piece world is Ocean and why the Rulers of the world set up their Kingdom on the Red Line.
