I'd love to see Garp's punch just one-shot'd Pizarro, he's done for. Especially if they do something like Blackbeard kills Garp (but that might Catarina pretending to be him if he's fighting Law right now?)

I thought Belo Betty would be Oda's dommy-mommy version of the character trope, but he wanted to stay original to the classic and brought in Kujaku.

I'd be all for the swerve of Straw Hats and Blackbeard Pirates just never really fighting each other even though they have the nice 10 member setups ready to go and we expect it because of Ace. Navy fights Blackbeard and Straw Hats go right to the Five Elders and Im or even the Red Hair Pirates. On the subject of the latter, I have a feeling it won't be a Shanks heel-turn that he was planning this all along but he's trying to keep the peace in the world as it is, something that he knows Luffy might actually inadvertently destroy now that he's this strong and it goes beyond Laugh Tale and into Robin discovering the history of the world, and that will lead to conflict with the Straw Hats. His Haki is so strong he's seen glimpses of the future and he's trying to avoid them with his actions, like taking all those scrub pirates under his banner in 1079.

I think you're right in the long run, especially since passing of the torch being a theme so I think we'll see all the old legends(Garp, Sengoku, Raleigh) die before the end of the series. With that said I don't think it's Garp's time yet.

Look, the guy punched hard enough to cause a break next week. He's clearly going to be fine.

That joke aside it would be very Oda-like to follow Kidd by dropping Garp. Question is if he goes for a third and if so who? Vegapunk, Kuma, Coby, so many choices.
 
OK, last chapter was a banger, but I have some questions about...

Sword, the more details I get, the less sense it makes. So if I get this right, you have a series of marines, these marines are identified as potential rogue elements due to their sense of justice or whatever, instead of removing them, you keep them around, make them sign a special contract where they agree that if they get uppity they will get deleted, yet allow them for the most part to operate freely AND to know what other people are part of those black sheep? And fucking Akainu is also sword even though he is your fucking head admiral?! Isn't this just an insurrection from the marines waiting to happen?

It kind of makes sense in that you are going to have Marines like Garp, Smoker* and Coby who are going to do whatever the hell they want regardless of Orders so having a way to simultaneously keep them in line while having the ability to put out a Burn Notice on them without much hassle makes sense. I don't think Sazauki was sword before being Fleet Admiral. I would buy it of Kuzan though because the story makes sense "I don't want to serve under you directly, so make me Sword" Given that they can Draft people into Admiral positions like Issho/Fugitora seems to be.

I think Tashigi showed up on Garps ship so that implies Smoker is around as well.
