“Luffy and Ussop want to go” is not an objective.
They have gone to three islands solely on the objective of “Luffy wanted to go there”. It would be the perfect breather/last bastion of what OP used to be if they went to Elbaf in a whim.

It would be if Luffy and his crew decided to ignore all the shit in the newspaper Kid shoved in his face last chapter. They might reconsider their path once they see what went down in the outside world.

How many of Usopp’s original lies do we have left to come true?

Also, if the World Government guy coming to Wano is a plant-based guy, that does leave some possibilities for Usopp to have something happen with his character.
How cool would be if he actively helped defeat an admiral?

A long while, they gonna milk Law and Kid vs Mom for a few episodes.
That is the highest quality of milk damnit. That is milk so good the calf may never graduate to solids.
Usopp has already kind of achieved his "Dream" in a way in that he probably could outfight many of the early threats these days.
I recall a while back the claim that all the Straw Hats were inspired by other stories. The only ones I every saw any sort of suggestion that might be so though were Chopper (Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, ostracised by his kin for being a freak) and Usopp (Pinnochio, the liar who wants to be a real boy man).
These days I think there's very little from pre-Grandline he could not handle alone. But he's still one of the weakest of his peers. His achievement will likely either be outfighting his dad or taking out someone well out of his league in a manner he feels is is manly.

This is kind of why I don't love Usopp as much as the others sometimes, his overall goal is kind of vague so you don't have a direct line as to what he needs to do to achieve it. (Jimbe kind of has this issue as well tbh in that he doesn't have a goal, but he has joined so late in the game that I don't think that matters to him)

I disagree. Usopp is one of my favorites and it's just that his objective is more or less like the cowardly lion from wizard of Oz. He wants to be something that he already is right now. He just needs to notice it.

For example, at the ending of this arc, when he was wounded, scared shitless and out of his league but he STILL refused to abandon Kinemkon and Kikunojo to die. He's already brave, already famous (with his large bounty) and already a strong warrior (he's just outshined by the other strawhats and the absolute monsters that exist in the new world).

I hyped the content during the break, but all this is just glorified SBS stuff, where Oda acts like his own character, AKA a child anticipating the future even though he knows everything but just prefers fucking with us.

The Leakers, meanwhile, are really hyping up new Chapter. I hope it’s one of those “Around the World” Chapters. We need new stuff to discuss.

I just got to the part where Orochi starts setting fire to Onigashima and I just had a realization.

Kaido...can..fly.

OROCHI YOU ARE A FUCKING RETARD.

Looking at the known bounty list, Oda probably should have revealed Mihawk's bounty before Dressrosa. Even with the warlords having their bounty locked in when they joined, being anywhere above 500 million will make the earlier bounties look very very broken.

I'm starting the Whole Cake Island Arc, and very early on Big Mom thanks Jimbei for bringing her a poneglyph, but admits she can't read it anyway. Could Big Mom create a homie that knows how to read poneglyphs?

Aren't homies made out of pieces of her soul or other people's souls? If no one else has the knowledge to read the Poneglyphs, the homies won't, either.

I dunno, maybe if she animated a book written in poneglyphs, or any book with a transcription of the known poneglyphs even without being able to decipher them.

Big Mom animates a Poneglyph..

"What do you say?!"
[Fozzy the bear voice] "I dunno I was just born, I could say a lot of things WAKKA WAKKA" [Fozzy the bear voice]

It always seemed to be widely accepted in universe that Mihawk was the outlier. It would totally be in character for him to be a Yonko numbers back when that was unheard of and millions were high. That being said, most of early One Piece gets broken the closer we get to the end game.

In fairness, Wano wouldn't work if the antagonists weren't being wilfully stupid 100% of the time. And Oro

We have always specifically known that Bounties do not equal power and Mihawk does not seem to be the sort to specifically go out of his way to cause enough trouble to get a high bounty and was very likely to have taken his Warlord position before he became "The Strongest Swordsman in the world"

See I always took the opposite view that he took it afterwards just so he could relax without having to worry about Marines coming knocking every five minutes. Dude just wants to sail around in his coffin or sit in his castle.

That or he is straight up not a pirate and therefore has no bounty.

He does Mention that it has been a long time since he has been chased so I presume that at some point he was an actual "Pirate" but it is possible that he became a Warlord before he became "The Strongest Swordsman in a world" thus having a lower bounty because despite his power he didn't break enough laws to warrant a massive bounty.

Kind of Like how Law's jumped 6X by being involved in the Onigashima Raid because between Dressrosa and that he was rather quiet and wasn't involved in Luffy's Whole Cake Island Shenanagins.
