I thought that was one of the face-faults the Merry did and that they were adapting that. Is that really how they're going to make it look?

It realizes the quality of show it is going to be in, also given the recent reveal

Does anyone think it is absolutely fucking hilarious that as they are making a Live Action adaptation Oda reveals Luffy's Ultimate Power is Western Cartoon Slapstick?

There’s a reason “Son of the Mask” sucked and the proper Mask 2 didn’t happen.

Not really because Mythic Zoans so far, with the possible exception of the Buddha one, come with abilities on top of the Zoan stuff that are akin to having another Paramecia or even Logia type of fruit.

Marco for example has fire powers, healing fire powers and also has the various forms he uses. His fire stuff is seemingly not as flexible as the fruit Ace/Sabo used/uses but they also can't heal with their flames. Kaido has various Zoan forms but also can control the weather and make things fly because that's dragon stuff in setting and in certain real world mythology. An argument can be made that those are not technically separate powers but just things the mythological entity has in the One Piece setting but that argument does not stop Luffy's fruit also making him electric proof.

Edit - or to rephrase it Mythic Zoans be bullshit!

Because executives butchered Son of the Mask in post-production and doing Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls convinced Jim Carrey not to do sequels for the longest time?

I really want to see more of Sengoku's Buddha fruit. It's such an interesting one, being able to create shockwaves for no particular reason.

If Sengoku possessed even a fraction of the powers attributed to the Gautama Buddha, no pirate in One Piece would stand a chance (in the parable of Angulimala, Buddha bends space to keep a killer from reaching him).
