My guess is that it’s tied to the Great Kingdom , and represents a threat to Imu and the WG. The only thing that’s keeping us from learning more is that it’s endgame meant to be revealed when we deal with the fallout of The One Piece is found and Al the poneglyphs are put together, especially since Oda is writing everything to be where the audience learns when the Straw Hats do, particularly Luffy because he’s the key to everything, or Robin because she’s the one who actually gives a shit about the wider lore and its consequences.

I feel like this is a step toward foreshadowing that the One Piece is something to counter Imu's powers. Or it's the origin of Haki, which is similar to the origin of Devil Fruits.

I had this thought after reading this chapter since awakening devil fruit seems to be tapped into the user's own will so haki must work the same way since it basically is a willpower manifestation in different ways.
Chopper can slap Imu's power out of people. He needs to pump his next 10 levels of XP into it.
Haki is just willpower, that is why CoC requires you to know and accept yourself.
I have a slight theory that her uncanny weather reading abilities is somehow tied to Observation Haki. It seems like Observation Haki can come in different flavors of a sort, like how Otohime's was tied to an uncanny level of empathy.
The most I've seen is this clip, but that was more of a joke because Nami was pissed off about Luffy being an idiot.
It's not haki, the Nika fruit just thinks it's funny for Nami to beat up Luffy and put him in a cuck cage.
It's probably just some one-time thing that Gear 5 passively triggered so I won't put it too much on him.
i still think the one piece is the island of laugh tale itself and that there is no real treasure or anything. roger made it up to encourage people to go out to sea and look because he knew that would inspire the right person to search as well. that being said i think haki is just a thing people can do in the one piece world. the devil fruits are the real anomaly and are most likely something that davy jones discovered and released into the world.

im not so sure about that. if the theory that blackbeard went to drum island because he was looking for choppers fruit are true its possible he knew that fruit is a counter to imu somehow and wanted it for himself. or someone else who is lacking a human form? if not that choppers fruit is the human human fruit it was able to turn chopper into a human so it would make sense that things that are inhuman such as demons can be turned back to normal due to his ability.
Probably why it is so rare, and why so many evil people seem to have it, the evil folks can accept their flaws cause fuck it who cares
