Its always funny watching a serious character get silly around luffy. I believe we just need Crocodile to do it then we're set
It's about time we see someone like Shanks acting more like a pirate. And Rockstar and the Giants finally return

I fucking told you all this would happen. Luffy and Law have 3/4 of what they need, The WG knows where Laugh Tale is already, and Blackbeard is gonna cheat his ass there If you think that things have spiraled out of control quickly so far in this arc get ready. I am actually half convinced that There isn't a direct traitor in the Vegapunks and that there is a 3rd party involved if only because causing CP0 to go after Vegapunk doesn't really benefit Vegapunk directly.

That and we have Kid just happening to run into Shanks, I kind of think that Shanks isn't surviving this encounter and not because Kid is stronger.

I don't know what's gonna happen, but Shanks dying here and now? No fat chance. It would be like breaking your feet in the starting line.

I think most likely we get a situation where we don't see the details (like with WTF is going on with Vivi and Cobra and Sabo) but we see a panel of Shanks dying and he holds on till Luffy gets to Ebaf, then we get filled in on what happened as Luffy and Shanks say goodbye.

After all something has to keep Shanks from getting to Laugh Tale before everyone else and Kid ain't doing it, and Kid getting his "Epic Moment beating Shanks" stolen by shenanigans from a third party gives him an out to be on Luffy's side because we all know he and Law ain't gonna be antagonists just because we don't got the time for Luffy to buck break Kid.

Have they found the fucking treasure yet?

They are legitimately Trying, it's not their fault that Vegapunk has no god damn opsec and let someone take over his island.
 
Well, Kid can't really blame Shanks for the loss of his arm if he never even got to see the guy...

I know it won't happen without shenanigans but I would like to see Kid beat Shanks. Not just to have it hit home this new generation is for real but I do like the idea of Kid being on par with Luffy, we just don't really see it because this is Luffy's story. Kid losing an arm after getting into the New World is his Ace/2y3d moment, maybe we'll see the Kid Pirates like Heat and Wire get their moments against the Red Hairs like Penguin and Shachi against Blackbeard.

Shanks is a swordsman and Kid is a magnet man, so by the law of type advantage/disadvantage, Kid should win.
 
Kid's playing with fire in thinking he can take on another yonko and win again. Did he forget he had to tag-team to take down Big Mom and that was still by the skin of their teeth? And even if he tag-teams again, he's still going to struggle against Shanks, but he may not lose another body part.

I dunno who to root for here, gonna be frank.

Harujdin and The Strawhat Grand Fleet shows up to help Kid, because they read about the alliance in Wano or assumed because Law was also there and he helped in Dressrosa they're all still allies, also because of how Morgans told the story and Luffy being an Emperor means the other two are working for him.

This creates that big event they said would happen with the Grand Fleet, maybe a ripple effect of personal conflicts about who to side with such as Dorry and Brogy and a bunch of misunderstandings with all sides that spills into the world government stuff with Vegapunk. Perhaps even Luffy reads in the paper it was Shanks who wrecked the Strawhat fleet, now he doesn't know what to do because emotional damage.

Or Shanks is going to greet Kid with drinks and a party like he did with Mihawk in the beginning of the series, because he misunderstands the strawhat alliance with The Kid Pirates with a deep friendship or some shit.

Slight variation:
Shanks does that because he knows Kid is fixing for a fight and he treats every impending opponent to a party. Because that's just how he is.
