Homeless drug addicts have most likely had God awful lives and terrible childhoods that guaranteed their downfall into despair.

Most of the homeless people who do work are never homeless for long as well, even if rent is expensive as fuck it's not that hard to get one to two jobs to pay for a month's worth of rent.
If they are homeless and hard at work than either they're voluntarily choosing to be homeless or they're mentally ill. Either that or they should have someone managing their finances.

Also a quick tip I learned when being approached by a beggar, if they ask for money, offer them food/water. If they take it, cool, that just fed them for practically the entire day. If they yell in your face, you know you've got a junkie or an alcoholic on your hands.

I have decided to classify homeless in different categories that I am sure most of you have seen atleast once.

The twitcher - the ones who will wander aimlessly and stare at random objects, and violently twitch/spasm at random moments
The wannabe gang banger - usually shirtless, and has sagging pants, will shout random gang slogans and throw up a random assortment of hand signs
The docile coffee drinkers - usually found in diners, or gas stations, will pay for coffee and just silently drink it, these ones tend to be people down on their luck, and I actually like these guys
The snoozer - they are often found snoozing in the shade at various parts, mostly in front of gas stations
The schizo - a rambler, but if you let him talk, he will say some of the most insane shit you will ever hear (may be right about a few things, varies)
The frozen in time - depends on the level of fent thats in your city, but these guys are always frozen in time

3 homeless guys on their bikes were outside 7-11 when I went there about 2 hours ago. They were trading stories of punching people. I'm not sure if it was other homeless people or not, but I can't see why we need them regardless.

On the other hand, the county just dismantled a camp a few blocks away from me. These fuckers had multiple furniture sets and even TVs. I'm not sure how the TVs were powered, if they even worked, but they were on tv stands in front of couches. Used to ride my bike by the entrance to their wooded area. Glad they're gone.

I was talking with my sweet, sweet bae about homeless people, because she never experienced them until living in the city with me (doesn't that make me feel great.) She was basically told all the liberal lies that they are just down on their luck, etc. The weather has been warming up, and they are now on every street corner begging here. I saw more today, one was even mouthing off to random people passing him by.

Back West, during my childhood, they would roam the streets on the night before trash pickup day and sift through everyone's trash cans looking for gold. This always disturbed me, as I slept by the window facing the street and would be woken up by an intruder going through our cans like a raccoon. On this same night over the years, my first car was broken into twice, most likely by these junkie fucks. Never had anything valuable in it, but they totally fucked up my car's interior. Breaking the window, door latch, radio, and seats. Felt great.

Liberal bleeding hearts, even the really rich ones, just give up all hope of standing up for themselves and kicking out homeless people. They would rather step in shit and watch people overdose in the street than be rude to a bum. We have lost a part of our culture, the part that let store owners kick shoplifter's shit in, and let the Average Joe scream at a bum for being near him. We need that edge back, this softie era has let the worst people inhabit our public spaces.

If you decide that you should be able to mooch off the system without contributing back, you should be stripped of its protections. The same goes for druggies. I was working in New York a couple of years ago, and one subway station had a fentanyl zombie who shambled by the stairs so that you had to step over it to get to the train. Hundreds of New Yorkers did this without batting an eye. I never saw the fent zombie displaying any signs of humanity: it never walked and it sort of moaned instead of talking while lying on the floor. If you shot this thing, it would have been a mercy.

To you they're zombies but to them they're actually experiencing a coma of pleasure. I've heard the addicts say fentanyl feels like a warm hug and that high is like flying through the sky past the stars. I'm not even exaggerating that statement, that's just what I've been told. REAL homeless people are homeless for a month TOPS. They are normal people who had a very bad break and manage to get back on their feet in short order. Schizophrenic drug addicts who indefinitely live on the street and shoot heroin in the library should be lit on fire.

You could go be a crab fisherman on a boat in Alaska, you could join the military, you could do all kinds of brutal manual labor for decentish pay and live modestly. If I lost my current cheap living situation, I would not rent and would never be able to afford a home payment either. I simply do not wish to spend 1.4k-2k a month on rent for a place which I only prepare meals, shower, shit, and sleep and nothing else with no hope for anything other than work, eat, shit, sleep. You could argue about getting roommates, which a lot of people do now, or rent in the middle of nowhere (where you can't get a job anyway) but thats only feasible now till rent goes up even higher. Theres a shit ton of reasons for rent and housing costs to go up and if its already this bad I can foresee it getting much worse as no one is going to do what needs to be done. Right now I COULD make do, but I would rather work and live out of my car than spend 80% of my income on a place where I will spend very little of my time being. Two of my coworkers were homeless when I worked fast food and just slept in the parking lot. They weren't drugees from what I could tell.

I know there's "entry level" type positions on fishing boats where you just need to be physically up to the job to be hired and they'll have you out on the water winching up crab traps in no time. You get to live on the boat and it's easy enough to save your pay since you know... you're on a boat.

That's my backup plan if my life goes sideways, head up to Alaska and work at a cannery or something and become a chain-smoking recluse.

Living out of your car is one thing, and I don't think it automatically qualifies you as "homeless" in the more general sense. It's one step away from yuppie "van life" shit and you can still be a productive member of society who doesn't shoot fent into their taint in front of Starbucks.

It still contributes to third world garbage aesthetic. Parking lots, public toilets, security cameras, and roads don't exist without the rat race. There's always some jerk that has to work hard and some asshole is right behind him to not only take advantage of that work but to also spite him for it.
We've met a few very nice people trying out this lifestyle, and we've met them simply because they're under the mistaken impression that our neighborhood is a great place to spend the night. They'll move on when asked, even tell you a little about themselves and what they're up to, and wish you a good night. I don't think they'll ever see why people like us are bothered. My husband spent some time as a vagabond himself so he has sympathy, but also sees it as a very immature time in his life. He's glad for those experiences but that doesn't mean he thinks it's should be accepted. Acceptance of mass vagabonding is an indication of a society in decline. I also resent the ever increasing cost of supporting those who want to live off of society without contributing to it on the terms of that society.

All I have to say is you should try living out of a suitcase for 6 months with no money, no drivers license, no diploma, no work experience, cripplingly fucked in the head and addicted to some shit before you go blanketly advocating killing anyone over it. There but for the grace of god go you.
Some people with the correct combinations of luck and motivation can claw their way back into becoming a productive member of society. Others are too far gone. Closing asylums was the cruelest thing done to date. Now I'm on the other side picking up homeless patients and shuffling them from mental hospital to mental hospital because they keep getting discharged too early for financial reasons. These fuckers basically die of despair. They are stuck and they feel they cannot improve their lives or change their behaviors, or they're so fucked up they just can't at all. But because they fall through the cracks they do not have people looking out for them, they can't afford or just forget meds, or they're so psychotic they don't understand they need them. It's all their "choice" as if they are in any position to make good choices for their future. Nobody's holding them down and forcing them to get better. Nobody is there to ensure they eat or bathe or use the toilet. They just live a disgraceful life like fucking animals because the society that was there in years before to catch them when they fall has closed up shop and turned the medical field into a business and their basket cases into "clients" responsible for independently ensuring they come to appointments, they comply with medications, they stay away from the only coping mechanisms they know (like drugs)...
The number of times we've had to leave some dementia or schizo patient by themselves because "they are their own person" and no one has bothered to set up a power of attorney or social services, is heartbreaking. All we can do is contact adult protective services and move on to the next inner city ER to send the crazies back where they came from.
Sure we do get those voluntarily homeless sociopaths from time to time only interested in abusing and manipulating people around them to get whatever they want, but most of the time it really is just someone who is not capable of taking care of themselves or making the right decisions, that for retarded political reasons has been deprived of a more dignified life being cared for and improving as much as they could in an institution.
The state of their bodies reflects the state of their minds and it should be apparent anyone who allows themselves to get to that level of filth and disease does not have the ability to get out of it without help.
And no, giving them "clean spots" where they get infinite needles and narcan and can fuck themselves into oblivion even more effectively under the guise of "help" is not the answer. That is another cruel joke played by TPTB.
