I know it isn't "odd.," but I hate reaction/reply videos. I don't give a corn laden shit how children, teenagers, "youtubers", or elders react to videos. No offense to anyone who enjoys them but I think it's odd that they often get millions of views.
I remember when Fred was a thing and a bunch of cringe-worthy parodies came out because of it.

I think I enjoy them because I think it's interesting seeing how different demographics react to things. Like how I've always wondered how people from a long time ago wold react to the present.I know it isn't "odd.," but I hate reaction/reply videos. If we're going to talk about commentaries, why aren't we talking about ranters? I used to watch the hell out of YT ranters and HDG knock offs. They were big back in 2008-9ish but now, all of them are (essentially) dead now.I used to watch a lot of commentaries years ago. I recall seeing a lot of commentaries about mariotehplumber, Chris Chan, and anyone else similar. To be honest, if I were to rewatch them, I see them in a much different light.
I used to watch a lot of YouTube poops, until I stopped. I only kind of see one in a rare moment.

That is all.
I would also be interested in how people from the early 1900's would reply to popular media. I can only guess that their reaction would be a mix of confusion and horror while saying something along the lines of, "Please god, forgive us for our sins."I think I enjoy them because I think it's interesting seeing how different demographics react to things. It's a video where you take a source (or more than one source) and manipulate them. Whether it's visual or auditorial. A couple more popular edits include ear rape (essentally the brown noise), reversing the audio and sentence mixing (where you get a character to say something they otherwise wouldn't).I keep seeing it mentioned randomly on the site but what are YouTube Poop? Sounds wack but I have no clue if it is or not.
I'm sure moleman9000 would love to give you a two week introduction course on the history of youtube poop.I keep seeing it mentioned randomly on the site but what are YouTube Poop? Sounds wack but I have no clue if it is or not.

So the name fits then. It's a video where you take a source (or more than one source) and manipulate them. Whether it's visual or auditorial. Pretty much.So the name fits then.
Thank you, based gemologist. I'd heard talk of these for years but no explanation.Pretty much.
You can't really describe what YT Poop is, you just have to watch a decent one and you'll gain something kind of resembling an understanding.I keep seeing it mentioned randomly on the site but what are YouTube Poop? Sounds wack but I have no clue if it is or not.
