This may not be lolcow-worthy, but if the Star Wars EU can have a thread, why can't this?

What are some weird Youtube fads? You know like ASMR, Chipmunk Remixes, Nightcore, that kind of stuff?

Here are a few example videos.



 
Can I just say that I never really understood the Trolololo bit? I liked the original video, but people just kept trying to make it the next Rickroll.
 
I remember when commentaries were a thing. I used to hang around many of those videos back in the day.

Still can't believe that was like what, 3-4 years ago? Also, YTPs aren't so much a fad as they are just a staple of the site.
 
YouTube poops and chipmunk videos are so stupid. I wonder how many TB of data Google can free up by deleting all these retarded videos?!
 
My confession of the day? I listen to nightcore sometimes. :oops:

e for clarity: sometimes nightcore and nightstep (don't judge me *sigh*) sound better than the originals of certain songs, and I find them pleasing when I game.

YouTube Poops are art and I will defend them. Even the completely awful garbage ones.

Speaking of YouTube fads, I think my favorite fad is the Warrior Cats animated AMVs.




 
I'm just trying to understand the thought process behind the person who made this.


Let's take a metal song about the holocaust, speed it up until the baritone voiced singer sounds like a chipmunk, and set it to a picture of anime catgirl maids! Makes perfect sense to me!
 
Wolf AMVs. There's many videos out there that are just slideshows of really weird looking OCs made by wolfaboos.
