I think i've met exactly one person who was outwardly excited to buy a switch 2, and it was a college age kid with some spare cash. Nobody else is excited to see a 600 dollar console with 90 dollar games. No doubt most of the people bitching are just going to buy it anyways like the asshole sheep that they are, but man this is the most unenthusiastic launch energy i've seen since the wii u. I don't think whatever this fucking event has is going to convince people of anything tbh. I just don't think Nintendo has much to offer the dorito pope this time.
Funny that you mentioned the word "asshole sheep" because the only person I know who is 100% buying a Nintendo Switch 2 did indeed show his asshole to the whole wide world.
mark the nintendo soyboy.webp mark pathetic.webp

I can't actually think of anything upcoming I want to play, no not even GTA6. Maybe Outer Worlds 2 simply because if it's even a 6/10 again I have another excuse to mock Starfield fags, but that's about it. 2025 is going to suck even more than 2024.

I bet Mark will be the first person to own a Switch 2.

Isn't that the guy who got 30 game overs in Sonic Mania?

My personal list of stuff I want to see/predictions that aren't happening
- HL3
Valve doesn't do announce stuff at shows anymore, and if they do it will likely close out Game Awards anyways.
- Deadlock
ditto.
- Wolfenstein 3
Will suck probably, but if you start a story you better finish it. I doubt MG has been working on it long enough to present anything, if they've been working on it at all.
- Doom TDA DLC's
Way too early to reasonably be announced.
- GTA 6 stuff
Can't remember if they announced a delay yet but they might do it here, otherwise I doubt we see anything worthwhile.
- Nintendo stuff (Tomo life 2 & Gamecube ports)
Probably will be a no-show.
- BioShock 4
Probably cancelled or in development hell.
- Judas
very likely in development hell, curse of Levine strikes again.
- Bethesda Stuff/Maybe FO3 remaster announcement
Doubt it.

What will probably happen
- Corpo glazing from Mr. Keighley and Co.
- Devs trying to force their faggot titles out before the well completely dries up and they actually have to make something people want
- Overall, just stuff no one cares about.

Even when E3 was around I never paid attention to it. Especially in the early 2010's.

Only thing not-emulated I've been excited for this year was Metal Gear Delta... and since Goytendo is making over-pricing the new standard like Activision did in the past, I can't see myself shilling 70+ dollars for a remaster, no matter how good looking. Prime Remastered was what, 40 bucks? And they did an amazing job on it. MGS3 is actually a pretty short game all things considered, so charging 70 bucks for a 20 year old game in 2025 is insane.

When people say the industry needs another 83' crash, they aren't saying it as a joke, they're saying it because a massive correction is genuinely needed.

It's not just the ballooning budgets that need to be culled, but also a lot of staff. I can remember the days of game development where you got one, MAYBE two bombs out the door before you ended up having to close up shop. Nowadays, massive studios have investor money to churn out flop after flop, while the ones responsible for it just get shuffled around.

Some of the most influential and well-regarded games were developed by teams small enough to shout ideas across the room to one another. Not only were they developed using budgets that were relatively slim even by the time period's standards, but they were extremely optimized and utilized a lot of programming wizardry to make things run properly within hardware constraints. That talent either just isn't being taught or doesn't exist today, partially because technology has evolved to a point where developers have a relatively comfortable amount of wiggle room for any faults that can be brute forced with enough hardware. It really makes you wonder just how much efficiency is being lost and how much more potential performance we can get out of what we already have.

Too many people and 99% of them aren't there to make games.

Hey apparently Sony actually DID have a show planned and it was yesterday. I haven't watched it yet but apparently we're getting an arcsys marvel fighting game.
I might check it out when I've got some freetime but I haven't heard anything shocking beyond that. I'm kinda salty it's not marvel vs capcom 5 but what can you do.

Miranda Sanchez has put on a few pounds after leaving IGN. I'd be totally down with her gaming while sitting on my lap, sweating all over me, snarfing on doritos and sour cream and onion chips while touching my rare gold N64 controller varient.

Thats all I have to say so far.

Lol no sound. We're getting Jeffed in the ass, again.

I can't watch this shit right now but I need the color commentary kewis

Mortal Shell 2 looks pretty neat even if it is Greatvalue Bloodborne.
