It's that time of the year again boisengirls, and for some reason I'm feeling horrendously pessimistic. I'm curious to see what Nintendo brings to the table (if they bother to show up at all) with the upcoming switch 2 at least.

Confirmed shows so far and what time they start:

Summer Game Fest

Friday, June 6, at 2 p.m. PST/5 p.m. EST/10 p.m. BST

Wholesome Direct

Saturday, June 7, at 9 a.m. PST/12 p.m. EST/5 p.m. BST (I always skip this one, it's the troonslop show)

Future Games Show Summer Showcase

Saturday, June 7, at 1 p.m. PST/4 p.m. EST/9 p.m. BST

Xbox Games Showcase

Sunday, June 8, starting at 10 a.m. PST/1 p.m. EST/6 p.m. BST (followed immediately by a direct dedicated to outer worlds 2.)

PC Gaming Show

Sunday, June 8, at 12 p.m. PST/3 p.m. EST/8 p.m. BST

Sony and Nintendo have yet to announce a show for this year but usually they show up to announce something so expect them to end off the event.

I look forward to more companies trying to sell my tranny shit and games I won't see for another 7 years.
A reminder that Bethesda revealed the elder scrolls VI 7 years ago specifically to cover their asses over the backlash towards fallout 76 and has produced nothing but angry tweets in that time.

And Playstation is nowhere to be seen.

I was wondering about that. Honestly I think Nintendo could be a no-show too, with all the shit they announced at the last direct either being 2026 or a launch title for the switch 2 I don't know that they'll have anything to show that we haven't seen already.
Unless nintendo's got a super secret Mario game for Super Mario Bros' 40th aniversary than I think that is most likely the case.

I'm expecting some good announcements for Switch 2 at least, 3rd parties probably want in on it. Might be port heavy though.

Duke Nukem Forever but woke.

Super Mario Bros. 35 40 incoming.

...Damn, it's been 5 years already...?!

I have a pretty hard time believing they don't. Nintendo likes their anniversaries, especially their decennial ones. The Switch 2 is also, conveniently, missing a mainline Mario title, and announcing one for his anniversary would be a perfect way to bury the controversy the console has had so far unless the retards decide to make it 80 bucks.

Fuck, dude, tell me about it. I had to double-check that RRS wasn't bullshitting because I can remember that 35th anniversary Direct like it was yesterday. Absolutely nuts how quickly time flies by.

Given that the 35th Anniversary began in September of 2020, I can totally see something for Mario's 40th happening later this year. Might even be the big holiday title for 2025.

Something tells me that the ongoing hype surrounding Nintendo Switch 2 will completely overshadow the non-E3 events that are taking place. Putting aside Steam, it just looks like if it’s not Nintendo related, then it’s not important.

Plus when adding the fact that GTA VI is (allegedly) coming out next year, I’m only thinking that it will just be mildly underwhelming. Though, I’ll see if I’m proven wrong.

>Remake, remake, remake and guess what? MORE REMAKES!

This industry is so fucked. The amount of cooperate and investor fuckery has taken its toll.

The sad part is that it's likely profitable by now, not to mention ESO.

Fallout 76 saw an increase in player count over time, peaking in 2024 with the release of Amazon Prime's television series Fallout.

Nintendo also has the big fall game slot open for something. I just don't think its 3D Mario though, those people went on to form the core of the DK team.

I'm guessing AC or Splatoon.

All i really want to play in the near future is NCAA 2026 and GTAVI. But I don’t have a console to play those on and not sure which one to buy used.
At this point if you buy an Xbox at anything other than a very heavy discount you're retarded. It has no notable exclusives and is day and dating PS5 versions of its first party games. And then Switch 2 isn't going to get GTA VI so that is no choice either.

Yeah, it'd be wise for them to do something significant but I can't see them doing a 3D Mario at this point, this year, and another 2D after Wonder feels unlikely too.

I'd expect another Mario collection, they could put Galaxy 2, 3D Land, and 64 DS. Kind of a weak line up on its own though. Some more spinoffs are probably a given.

If it's one of those then I'm just more glad to not get a Switch 2 yet.
