Just when u thought Mario Kart World would be the first and only 80$ game. Here comes Outer Worlds 2. The future of 100$ games are coming upon us. Spiderman 2, Cyberpunk 2077 and God Of War all had 200 million to 400 million dollar budgets. So they were 60$ but GTA VI has a 1.2 billion dollar budget.

Expect GTA VI to be 100$
 
Outter Worlds 2 looks like such shit compared to Clockwork Revolution. The dialogue in the trailer sounds like it was written by a 15 year old and presumably is the best that they've got.
 
I didn't watch anything; it likely would've been a waste of time anyway. I checked up on Blue's News for some of the stuff instead. For a brief moment I perked up when I saw the words "Chrono Odyssey", but that was quickly defeated when it turns out it was a MMORPG and not a sequel to Chrono Trigger.

Not sure where else to post this, but did anyone see that the Splitgate 2 guy had to put out an apology over his "Make FPS Great Again" hat he wore at Summer Game Fest? Yes, these devs are so out of touch they still think apologizing to a deluded minority will help their sales and reputation. Just another game to avoid.

Still, it looks interesting enough to pirate, so I hope they can keep their bugs to a minimal (lol, owlcat, 2025, minimal bugs) but given this is a completely different style of game and engine then what they're used to...nah.

Considering you can get most of Microshit's lineup on Steam (like Sony's too lol), and thus wouldn't make anyone with a Steamdeck or wanting to get a Steamdeck gravitate towards Microsoft, why? One of the main reasons the Switch 2 is selling so well is because of the amount of exclusives they have and Nintendo is highly unlikely to pivot towards PC, especially after recent Switch 2 sales, so making a portable Xbox with barely any exclusives try and incentivize people to get that instead of the MUCH CHEAPER Steamdeck (based on speculation, ROG Ally X is nearly $1k, other places are actually $1k) will make it DOA and hopefully make their bottom line cry.

Hell, Xbox supposedly had their own handheld in the works that was cancelled in favor of their project with ROG, so that'll confuse the shit out of people, assuming anyone gives a flying fuck given how little discourse I see of it. I didn't even know until obviously much later when a bit before I started typing this posted, it was announced four fucking days ago and I missed all of this. What a pathetic time to be interested in vidya when we have whole shows (livestreams) from all sorts of companies and not only do I (and some of my friends who are more on top of this stuff than I am) not hear about any of them, there was almost nothing interesting in the several hours we wasted watching them.

A few people like Spell&Shield were worried that they could abandon the CRPG genre but they were wrong:
As for The Expanse, I didn't read the books but I watched the show and the last two seasons were a let down. To me it felt like the writers focused on the wrong things.

I remember the fans of the book series hyping up Duarte and then he is barely in a couple of scenes right as the show ended. To me that part was way more interesting than watching Naomi gasping for air in a derelict ship for 3 episodes.

Game Pass doesn't work natively on Steam Deck tmk, and also if Steam Deck 2 isn't formally announced this year then it's at least worth looking at.

The whole last two seasons were crap. Marco Inaros was a dogshit antagonist and Belters chimping out was a poor substitute for Mars and Earth duking it out, or exploring weird alien planets and installations.

Every moment Naomi or her retarded bastard spawn were on the screen was pure fucking agony. Doesn't help they killed off or wrote out most of the good characters and we were left with the dregs.
