Kim Jong-Un threw some serious shade on Trump by firing a missile that is believed to be able to hit Alaska. And on Independence Day of all days.

I'm also hearing rumblings that the US military is planning 'a show of force' in light of this, so expect a barrage of rockets that spells out 'We Gunna Git You Sucka' around Kim's palace or some shit.

lmao if they actually try using one of these things, they're going to have China's boot up their ass before America can even retaliate. I honestly doubt the Kim dynasty is going to make it to 2020 at this rate- Tubby has gotten a head almost as big as his belly, and has been trying to piss off everyone every few months.

If Murrica attacked North Korea, the only way they'd be able to retaliate would be by shelling Seoul. The risk for that is very high and would obviously escalate the situation to a full-blown war, which noone, not even South Korea, wants at this point.

Don't get me wrong, Murrica would have unquestioned air-superiority within a week, but the Norks have dug in their forces all over the border regions and the mountainous landscape makes the advantage of air superiority almost worthless.
No matter where Murrica would lead an assault, it would be a meat grinder. And I wouldn't put it past North Korean civilians to be completely and utterly indoctrinated to a point that it makes the Japanese of WW2 blush.

So doing a drill seems to be the go-to option, as long as Kimmy doesn't blow up someone's toys and just throws his crudely made rockets in random oceans.

China has as little motivation to deal with NKs shit as the US.
A big reason why Kim is elbowing his way around is that he can feel the fire under his throne tart to roast his ass. These displays of strength are directed towards his own people as much as it's used to "impress" the western world.
I just wonder what would happen if the higher echelons of NK would take over the country and kill the fat crybaby. Maybe it would be akin to what happened after Mao's death.
 
Somebody needs to take fatty's toys away from him.

Don't underestimate the time it takes to flush out all these ancient aircraft, some of them need to be wound up a bunch of times before the engine starts.
 
I would wonder if fatty's new ICBM could be mass produced. Some of what makes our arsenal so deadly is how quickly we can build more ordnance. It took decades for NK to even get a working ICBM, much less making more with their limited resources.

I can't stress this enough:
Germany had a more successful ballistic missile programm that netted results quicker despite waging war with the entire western world plus russia.
You can buy half the hardware necessary to control the missile at a fucking supermarket nowadays. And I bet you anything, this one working missile was it. It will take NK forever to replace it. And since I assume the missile pretty much just dropped off into the ocean at random, I doubt it could reliably hit a pre-designated zone.

It wouldn't surprise me if NK is falling victim to the oldest and most idiotic pitfalls of all dictatorships when it comes to such things:
Having two or more competing groups of engineers working on the same project.
Ultimately, they sabotage each other, try to hog resources, refuse to share helpful information and in the end just create a huge waste of time and resources with absolutely nothing to show for it.

If a nuke or MOAB were dropped on Pyongyang, it would render their entire military command crippled, and by the time they figure out what to do, it would be checkmate. Recall we have enough bombs to blow the whole world up "X" times over, assuming Obama didn't have most of them decommissioned under the unequal New START Treaty.

The Japanese comparison is bad since civilians weren't as indoctrinated and the war was quite unpopular, as evident under Fumimaro Konoe. You just couldn't speak out against it. With concern to North Korea, everybody is starving to death and believe that they're the only "real" civilization left on Earth following the collapse of the Soviet Union. When foreign troops enter North Korea with superior firepower, it would be like when the Aztecs first saw the Spaniards and though they were gods.

Anyway, the same thing that happened to China after Mao's death was excepted after Kim Jong-Il, and look what happened. Honestly, I think it will be even worse if Fatty is removed from power. The entire family are crazier than lead-poisoned Roman warlords.

The problem with obliterating Pyongyang is once we do that we have nothing further to threaten to do since North Korea is Pyongyang and wasteland without even electricity.

As long as Fatty isn't using nukes himself, noone is going to bother wasting that on Pyongyang - and even if some nation managed to cut off the snakes head, I would assume the border regions are still going to be a meatgrinder. Sure, the North Korean casualties will heavily outnumber the american casualties, sooner or later, but it would still cost a lot of blood and steel to really get deep into NK territory and every 2 yards, you have to flush out soldiers and militia forces hiding behind your lines.
