There's so much news about North Korea right now and what Un is doing, I got a suggestion for a NK megathread, so here it is. Post the world's greatest nation's antics here. I'm merging a few of the more recent threads to continue discussion.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in has pushed for a new plan for a rapid war with North Korea and an overhaul of the country's defense industry to overwhelm and crush the North's government, the South Korean newspaper The Chosun Ilbo reported Tuesday.

Moon took office in May promising to attempt to engage diplomatically with North Korea and seek peace, but in the months since, the North has provoked the international community with missile tests at a blistering pace.

For some time, South Korea has been training a "decapitation force," reportedly with the help of the US Navy's SEAL Team 6, but now an increasingly bold North Korea may demand quicker action.

South Korea's new plan identifies more than 1,000 targets for precision missile fires and sites for marines to drop in and quickly kill North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, the paper reported.

The plan represents a more independent version of South Korea's current plan, which relies on support from US aircraft carriers. As it stands, no major military commander recommends military action against North Korea, which has a staggering array of conventional — and potentially nuclear — weapons pointed at Seoul, where 26 million call home.

But South Korea's new plan to quickly and decisively dominate the North relies on reforming the defense-acquisition process and cutting out wasteful spending to wield the full might of its economic dominance against Pyongyang, according to the report. For that reason, don't expect the plan to take effect anytime soon.

I'm going to guess he'll shoot it into the sea but fly it over Guam or something.
It's possible.

He did say he wouldn't hit the US or its allies unless they actually backed up their threats. And bombing their "allies" would guarantee an insta-death on Fatty and his country's part. I could see him firing it off into the sea this time. But either way, it won't end well for them down the line.

Wouldn't surprise me if he did it.

The real question is that if it happens, who will it hit? And more importantly, would this convince Russia and China outright that the Norks can't be negotiated with?
Negotiation is always on the table.

Negotiation is always on the table.
So is eating your hat. And so far, neither has been successful.

In all seriousness, with the amount of provocation Kim's doing, I doubt negotiations are going to be on the table of any country for much longer. Think about it- Fatty's now threatening Europe, China's been practicing for a "surprise attack" after the last test, and even Russia's beginning to have doubts on the matter of negotiations.

If the US doesn't strike, it's possible Russia or China will.

What a co-winky-dink, I read about that earlier.

I feel like while YouTube's good intentions are there (the fear of possibly funding the Norks), the issue is that it cuts people off of info that they want to know. I feel they could have gotten away with simply just de-monotizing the channels. But with the recent events at Google and the bullshit within its staff, I wouldn't be surprised if the new guidelines they imposed were part of the reason too.

Youtube has started going censorship over all kinds of issues. They've been deleting the channels of various groups fighting in the Syrian Civil War recently as well. Both government forces and rebels. It's gone beyond the US Government order to censor ISIS propaganda. Youtube has been critical for up to date coverage of the conflict. I wish the dumb motherfuckers would just use Liveleak or something.

Mehmmet al Mehmmet isn't going to decide whether or not to join Hezbollah or Tahrir al Sham(aka We're totally not al Qaeda this time, al Nusra was just a joke and they weren't AQ either. Die you filthy fucking kuffar) based on their jewtube coverage. Unsurprisingly they deleted the YPG's official channel, only to restore it a short time later. For anyone who doesn't know, the YPG/YPJ are a Kurdish militia that makes up the majority of the Syrian Democratic Forces. They were founded by the PKK, a socialist, Kurdish terror group in Turkey. The SDF are the only US proxy in Syria worth giving a fuck about. Contrary to Western media coverage, they aren't all cute brown girls who want to sit down with you at Starbucks and discuss intersectional feminism over a chai latte.

But I like watching North Korean propaganda videos they're comfy af.

I doubt that. America has made this their problem, we have thousands of military personal and weaponry stationed on the peninsula, we covered the dmz in land mines. Why would china or russia wade into this shitshow. They both benefit from us being tangled up in this.

As I've said before, Un's eventually going to make it just as much their problem as the Us and its Asian and European allies' too, whether China and Russia like it or not.

Hell, from what I've been reading, it's already becoming their problem. And has been for quite a while. They may not like the US and its allies' brazen behavior, but even they're getting fed up with Un's equally exceptional behavior.

I agree the transmission of their state-run tv programme was super entertaining and surreal.
I like the English dub documentaries with the Pochonbo Electronic Ensemble music.

They've been deleting Hezbollah and Hamas songs with English. But all the songs that are actually watched by sand niggers aren't deleted so if you type them in Arabic you can still watch them.

Russia isn't in much a position to do anything regarding Best Korea despite Drumpf being a Russian shill who only got elected due to vatnik hackers on steroids. US/Russian relations are the lowest they've been since the Cold War. US election meddling to install that drunk fuck Yeltsin really helped things out in the 90s. The Norks have been a Chinese proxy since their inception. Without Best Korea, China doesn't have a buffer against NATO et all on the Chinese mainland. If Best Korea were to implode, the rapefugee crisis they'd face would make the EU situation pale in comparison. Sure China is huge, but it would cripple the area along the Yalu. The Chinks don't want to deal with that. Their economy is already a house of cards. It isn't worth going to war over though. If the Kim dynasty is going to get smoked, they'll let the US do it. That way the onus of dealing with the fallout with fall on NATO and major global partners like South Korea and Japan. The Chinese have been quietly telling Un to fuck off with this shit by reducing Nork imports to actually follow UN sanctions in recent years. Then again, if Bush Jr hadn't been off snorting blow during most of his presidency, diffusing the Nork nuke situation would probably be much farther along by now.

And that's the problem, if the Chinese are so worried about the Rapeugees coming into their country, why not just handle it themselves with a bunch of rifles? Norks will never fit into any other society thanks to their upbringing and isolation. So why not just shoot them down if they try crossing the border? Same thing applies with both South Korea and Russia.

And if they didn't want to be involved, they should have held a tighter leash on their pet. But instead, they let it run wild and look where that has led them. On top of that, they've been just as surprised as the US whenever the Norks fire their missiles to the point where Un's deliberately trying to get a rise from Xi as much as he is Trump. Last weekend's nuke was because of that annual Chinese summit, and it obviously won't be the last time Un tries provoking China unless they actually either do something about it directly, or allow the US to tighten sanctions or cut off Fatty's money completely. The fact the Chinese military went into training after said nuke proves they too are exercising any other available options when and if talks completely break down.

The other problem of course, is Russia. Who like China, are the Norks' major ally, and yet are also getting fed up with their shenanigans with the US. I won't lie, I do get what Putin's trying to do with getting the other countries, including North Korea, into a sensible discussion. But that doesn't explain their show of force against Un a couple weeks ago. And with fatboy as mentally unstable as he is, who's to say he won't just backstab Russia after they give him what he needs?

So to make a long and already tired story short- Neither country, while not happy with the US and their actions, are just as tired of NK's actions and that they also should have handled it sooner. Rather than let it get out of hand to the extent they did, buffer state or not.
