There's so much news about North Korea right now and what Un is doing, I got a suggestion for a NK megathread, so here it is. Post the world's greatest nation's antics here. I'm merging a few of the more recent threads to continue discussion.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in has pushed for a new plan for a rapid war with North Korea and an overhaul of the country's defense industry to overwhelm and crush the North's government, the South Korean newspaper The Chosun Ilbo reported Tuesday.

Moon took office in May promising to attempt to engage diplomatically with North Korea and seek peace, but in the months since, the North has provoked the international community with missile tests at a blistering pace.

For some time, South Korea has been training a "decapitation force," reportedly with the help of the US Navy's SEAL Team 6, but now an increasingly bold North Korea may demand quicker action.

South Korea's new plan identifies more than 1,000 targets for precision missile fires and sites for marines to drop in and quickly kill North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, the paper reported.

The plan represents a more independent version of South Korea's current plan, which relies on support from US aircraft carriers. As it stands, no major military commander recommends military action against North Korea, which has a staggering array of conventional — and potentially nuclear — weapons pointed at Seoul, where 26 million call home.

But South Korea's new plan to quickly and decisively dominate the North relies on reforming the defense-acquisition process and cutting out wasteful spending to wield the full might of its economic dominance against Pyongyang, according to the report. For that reason, don't expect the plan to take effect anytime soon.

So we have an estimate of yet another occasion where North Korea will start shit again to gain publicity. Jong-Un would be a lolcow if he wasn't actually a threat to North Korea's neighbors (and Guam).

Has an intercontinental ballistic missile ever hit the Sea of Japan? If this is able to devastate the environment by hitting the ocean then I am surprised that Jong-Un hasn't considered hitting it once. It could devastate Japan and South Korea's crop for years to come, possibly southeastern Siberia too.

We will see what happens. I doubt anything significant will happen since I do not think Jong-Un is that stupid to indirectly announce he's bombing Seoul. But who knows, his insanity knows no end.
If they screw up and it blows up on the pad nothing much will change, if it fucks up and heads towards a population centre well that's when things get very scary there is already a carrier group in the region and as I have said before the US does not fuck around when it comes to air power the NK airforce may last about 5 minutes but nothing will be left of the antiquated airforce they have to take off after.

Fatty will tard rage and try and shell the shit out of Seoul in retaliation and those batteries that do light up will be taken out after the first volley, NK will then try an zerg rush the border, SK and US forces in the region put long standing battle plans into action.

//cut to save time//

Fatty 3 is either killed by his generals or off's himself in whatever hidey hole he's fucked off to in the last week since this whole mess started, NK is divided up between a Chinese puppet region and SK and remains that way for a few decades until China implodes under the weights of it's own autism.
What do you mean by China imploding as a nation? Of course the economy won't stay great forever but I doubt it would get so bad that China would have to give up the part of North Korea as a puppet regime back to South Korea. If anything, I can see China directing anger over economic failure on other countries because if there is one thing you never underestimate, it is its remarkable political strength. Why else has Chinese culture survived for over 4500 years and played a significant role in cultural influence for the last 2200 years?

It's been a thing in geopolitical circles for a while now that China's history largely cycles between eras of centralization and decentralization, with the decentralization periods usually descending into warring states. Given that, historically, China is overdue for a decentralization kick, many theorists believe it's going to fragment during the next economic collapse. I read an interesting book called The Next 100 Years that presents a somewhat more believable version of that theory where the success and riches of all the various Special Economic Zones or whatever they're called dilutes authority in Beijing to the point where either the central authority of the Communist party is rendered near-irrelevant, or they try and re-impose said authority and the country more formally fragments.

But, then again, it's geopolitics so it's about as useful for accurately predicting the details of any future events as combing through tea leaves. The same guy who wrote The Next 100 Years also considers it a guarantee that Korea will be re-united by 2030 (or at least he did when he wrote the book in 2009).

I mean this -

But to elaborate on the situation, China's economy is very artificially inflated and it's a growing concern that China will be at the centre of the next bubble popping moment as the Chinese government does not report it's real figures now for a while that's been OK because China was booming but there internal economy isn't doing so well and that's where trade and market problems begin on the domestic market that then grow and shatter closely tied markets that also have internal problems.

China isn't really able to hang on to there own populace anymore as they have seen the good life of free markets and want all the good stuff it entails because they have seen the hell that centralised planned economies can bring to a nation. So they will have to use force to keep it and a lot of the younger CNA staffers are not happy with the party when they try and do crackdowns, so when as they go through their next Decentralisation period and communism get's officially given the boot they will fracture for a period - also the only reason China has stayed as stable for so long is because they are mostly of one Ethnic grouping i.e. The Han so while some groups have different ideas at any one time they all tend to share a baseline culture that keeps them roughly together.

The Mongols that took over and replaced its native population adopted its culture rather than converting to Islam and destroying everything like they did elsewhere, and even with everything destroyed under Mao, records existed to restore a lot of it.

Mao was a massive historical revisionist nearly on par with some sects of Islam, I've mentioned it before but I wrote a lot on this subject because I wanted to publish a book once called Destroyed by Hate where I quoted a lot of former Red Guard Youth members who are now on record even inside of China saying they despise what they did in there youth as they went out of their way to destroy their own history.

What has helped is China produced so many records historically and so much of it was unfound at the time OR taken out of the country before hand combined with the Oriental Obsession of the Victorian era has helped them with this, NK has a weird thing where they review there pasth ell in NK they like to think they are Pure and childlike i.e. innocent that's why NK fashion seems to have strong elements of very old styles in it and how the idea NK woman is supposed to appear. The problem is Korean history isn't as preserved as Chineese history so what they have lost will most likely be lost forever as they work hard to expunge all records of anything they feel will harm them.

I do think the real question is 'What happens after?'

Seoul would eat it of course, maybe Tokyo too, but what of the North Korean citizens? Flee south and get blown up by mines or flee north and get shot by the PLA?

Whatever happens, the bleeding hearts is California will roll out the red carpet and ring the dinner bell, and then the Nork locusts will come swarming out of the bronze age they've been living in and straight into America like a horde of mongoloids.

Because diversity is our strength.

Coincidentally, they both have the same last name, going by Cankles's maiden name.

TFW a basketball player has proven to be a better diplomat who doesn't leave trails of blood everywhere.

Nitpicky, but Hillary's name is Rodham, not Rodman.

And Men in Black explained Dennis Rodman best.

Thank God Norks are brainwashed to think their country is superior, which makes them less susceptible to invading our countries. If Korea can't keep its borders from leaking refugees, give them no military assistance if China comes knocking. Parts of California are already fucked by Koreans from the war and relaxed immigration laws from 1965.

Whatever happens, the bleeding hearts is Europe will roll out the red carpet and ring the dinner bell, and then the Nork locusts will come swarming out of the bronze age they've been living in and straight into Germany/Sweden like a horde of mongoloids.

FTFY
I suppose they are less explosive than the previous refugees, so that's a step in the right direction.

Given that Merkel originally imported those countless violent uneducated Africans as labor/voting cattle, which backfired spectacularly, yeah, maybe try again.
I expect brainwashed half-corpses to be more manageable than a shitload of young arab males who woke up today in a slightly rapey mood.

Trump's looking to cut off Fatboy's cheese and whiskey supply.

Good.

I do have to say I think I see what Trump is trying to do: force China and Russia to deal with their wayward sped the hard way instead of coddling it.

Given coddling the sped has backfired and he's just getting more and more batshit by the day, I'm all for putting the squeeze on him.

And that it's only now that China and Russia are considering military action in case their sped goes completely off the rails makes me feel for America (and its Asian and Eruopean allies) even more.

Keep watching guys, we could be seeing something big today.

All I know is the tabloids are going fucking nuts right now and it's glorious!

Kim Jong-un would not help America by nuking San Francisco, instead will probably target LA

The Japanese are evacuating South Korea

Not content with threatening Britain with 'a miserable end' the US are going to get one too.

lol i'd like to see kimmy fatboi try

So when will we expect China or Russia's reactions to these "boasts"?

Also, that Kim Leaving article was published in mid-August. But there is this, which says that Kim could actually attack its allies as much as he could his enemies.
That article brings up a very good point. As today is probably the most important in the Nork calendar, you'd think Fatboy would have saved the nuke for today. He must have something big up his sleeve. I'm going for full range ICBM launch. Nuke optional.

Wouldn't surprise me if he did it.

The real question is that if it happens, who will it hit? And more importantly, would this convince Russia and China outright that the Norks can't be negotiated with?

I'm going to guess he'll shoot it into the sea but fly it over Guam or something.
