There's so much news about North Korea right now and what Un is doing, I got a suggestion for a NK megathread, so here it is. Post the world's greatest nation's antics here. I'm merging a few of the more recent threads to continue discussion.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in has pushed for a new plan for a rapid war with North Korea and an overhaul of the country's defense industry to overwhelm and crush the North's government, the South Korean newspaper The Chosun Ilbo reported Tuesday.

Moon took office in May promising to attempt to engage diplomatically with North Korea and seek peace, but in the months since, the North has provoked the international community with missile tests at a blistering pace.

For some time, South Korea has been training a "decapitation force," reportedly with the help of the US Navy's SEAL Team 6, but now an increasingly bold North Korea may demand quicker action.

South Korea's new plan identifies more than 1,000 targets for precision missile fires and sites for marines to drop in and quickly kill North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, the paper reported.

The plan represents a more independent version of South Korea's current plan, which relies on support from US aircraft carriers. As it stands, no major military commander recommends military action against North Korea, which has a staggering array of conventional — and potentially nuclear — weapons pointed at Seoul, where 26 million call home.

But South Korea's new plan to quickly and decisively dominate the North relies on reforming the defense-acquisition process and cutting out wasteful spending to wield the full might of its economic dominance against Pyongyang, according to the report. For that reason, don't expect the plan to take effect anytime soon.

LOL. Can they actually shoot down our planes?

If we go in dumb, yes, their SAMs can in fact hit our planes.

On the other hand, if we spend a few hours shitting on their SAM sites with drones, then no, their aircraft don't stand a chance. You basically send in drones at 60,000 feet armed with HARMs, and then have a few aircraft come near their borders. They light up their radars, the HARMs follow the signal back in, and they don't shut down because they can't see the drones. Scratch a bunch of launchers. Then you send in aircraft that can basically loiter around giving everyone a bad day.

However, you'd also have to use attack aircraft on their forward artillery control, because the moment the party starts, they're going to drop a ton of hate on South Korea.

And if you're going to do that, why stop?

You'll also need a fuckton of shit near the border to combat the millions of screaming Chinamen pouring over the Yalu.

If China thought they could manage the logistics of a few hundred million more starving people, they'd have just taken out North Korea back in the Bush era.

Nobody gives a shit about the DPRK. Nobody.

China claims it's because they need a "buffer state" between them and US-allied South Korea.

Thing is, as has been said before, China could easilly handle that shit themselves without surrendering NK over to the US and they never have. Instead they're just shifting the blame over to the US and their allies instead of being responsible for their own fuck ups.

Part of Muh Master Plan : Kim Jong Un murdered brother to show world how powerful he is.
Interesting to note, Jong Nam was flying AirAsia. That's a death sentence all in of itself.

On Ilbe.com, aside from the fact that they're using Pepe a hell of a lot, there's also a lot of posts about how people "think" that Moon Jae In (SK President) is "protecting" Kim Jong Un, because they didn't take part in some strategic operation that the US had, because SK worried it would be a call to war with NK if they went beyond a certain limit line.

"Jong-Un, if Trump harrasses you, I will protect you!"

So, basically they're upset coz they haven't bombed the fuck out of NK yet. Classic Ilbe.

I thought the more common speculation was that it was to show higher-ups in DPRK that escape will not protect you, nor will being close to KJU.

That gets covered in "powerful". He's Dae Wonsu, a shining sun that can cast the world into darkness at the flick of a wrist after all.

The Glorious Leader can bring down all of the Imperialists' planes just by thinking of it.

No, that's either the Portland Spud (and only around autism land) or OPL (only around CWCville airspace).

We totally could get in and out with B-2 Bombers before the Norks even knew we were there.

More like he didn't want a legitimate successor because if he had one, his own generals would have already killed him.

Their own fuckups?

You dont think the current situation is one of OUR fuck ups? Why should china bloody themselves to fix messes we made. What china is doing is perfectly logical. Why bloody themselves and face consequences when they can let a rival do it.

OUR fuckup? The entire Korean war turned into a proxy war between China and the US. The only reason South Korea is not communist is the south asked the US to stay and help with defense, and that keeps the Norks at bay.

The Korean situation is China's fault just as much as it is the American's

How could the Chinese go nuclear when they didn't have their first bomb until 1964?

Also, MacArthur was chomping at the bit to nuke the Chinese, so much so, Truman canned his happy arse.

But yeah I do agree this is the fault of both China and America.

I don't know, maybe them being the Nork's neighbors and Trump wanting China to at least cooperate with the situation while they do next to nothing besides support sanctions?

I won't say America's completely innocent here, as they're pretty much egging the Norks (and vice versa). But you can't just say that China shoulders none of the responsibility either. Especially since Kim's fired missiles in responce to two Chinese events and China's citizens are worried about potential radiation from Kim's missle testing.

Of course it turned into a proxy war. The same thing would happen if china went to war with a south american country. Regardless of the reasons behind the war, were not gonna sit back and let a rival get a foothold near us.

NK may be a threat to china, but your crazy if you don't think china sees the US as the much larger threat.

No one's saying that the US isn't a threat to China, which is why they need North Korea as their buffer state.

What people like me, @CWCissey, @Goofy Logic and others are saying is that China's doing almost nothing when it comes to keeping their buffer state from acting as autistic as it has been lately. Sure the US needs to tone their shit down, and they helped enable the nuclear program over in NK (thanks Clinton ). But at the same time, Kim's actions could easilly put their relationship with their allies in jeopardy (China in particular) and be the start of a potential third world war. Something no one besides the Norks want at this point. Not even the US, with all its military might and Trump's boasting wants a war to break out (keep in mind that they're only saving it as a 'final option'). But Kim only hears what he wants to hear between dicking idols and blasting people into gore with airplane missles.

It's why we keep talking theorecticals on how China could easilly just take North Korea themselves and keep their buffer between them and the US.
