This isn't partial multiplayer like some other projects. I've tried it with 1-2 friends and it works really well. Most if not all entities are synced, this was not the case a few versions ago. Lots of settings, seamless host/ join process, works with a surprising amount of other mods (downside is you have to make sure you tune your mod settings exactly the same as everyone else or you introduce desync issues). Apotheosis (big overhaul mod) seems to work just fine. Anvil of destiny behaves erratically, not recommended.

Found picrel while looking for more mods. (noita wiki) Can't confirm whether or not these work in multiplayer.

Entangled worlds is great. I enjoyed discovering the 'respawn mechanic'.

I love this game, but I understand why people become bored and quit before they find most of the secrets. I've been told there are things that are effectively impossible to learn without outside help but I encourage players to exhaust their options before looking up hints. The trial and error diminishes after the first "win" and eventually you can find a solid method to get anything and go anywhere with the bare minimum. In the tradition of free tips I'm going to provide a list of the perks that ultimately limit runs:
Eat Your Vegetables, Freeze Field, Glass Cannon, Homunculus, Low Recoil/Lukki Mutation (mutually exclusive), No Wand Tinkering, Vampirism (locks out an endgame puzzle), Teleportitis.
There are still uses for these, but if your goal isn't to explore/achieve one specific thing I would avoid them.

Translating and overanalyzing every possible text helps a lot, theres a lot of background text on walls too. A lot of secrets are just trial and error once you find something. But the worst are some of the achievements, theres no way to know about the no damage and pacifist challenges without doing them or looking it up. And that would be an insane sunk cost.

Its a very "noita" solution to the question of balance and introduces a new layer of planning to the mix since all your upgrades can be your downfall and the ai is just better than you ever will be, it can even flank with teleport wands. So you have to plan for the inevitible event.

What's the most number of parallel worlds people have gone to? Does it just keep going and is there any incentive to keep going? By the time you're on 2nd or even 1st you'll probably have most/all of the most desirable perks, a wand that obliterates anything nearby and a means of regenerating HP whenever you want.

eventually i lose track of how many parallel worlds i get to. you can go to however many you really want but you'll have to go through several for the perks if you're attempting lategame/NG+ quests.

I just started this game about 3 weeks ago holy shit I wish I found it sooner, I can beat the “tutorial” route some what consistently and have gotten to where I can break out and find some other biomes. Trying to not spoil too much for myself, but have a few questions - how the fuck are you supposed to learn alchemy? I had a run where my feet turned random stuff into gold for a biome today. I’ve seen the lab in the first biome so see some hints at mixing stuff, but Jfc.

I’m still getting wand building so I guess my question is this - if my build isn’t going well should I even bother mixing random stuff together? Any light spoiler ways to suggest certain things? Also I accidentally ate fungi and started tripping (had vamp perk meant to drink blood) is that just a touch fuzzy kinda thing or deeper? I’m trying not to spoil too much, but I had to look up wand basics to get wrapping and such.

Also, I must praise the game for its difficulty which is honestly refreshing. In the very beginning I felt some deaths were bullshit that were my fault. There’s very few times where I don’t think “I could’ve done something different in the future” which yeah there’s some bullshit but very little.

yes. 95/100 times you can ABSOLUTELY salvage a run, and up til maybe hiisi base you can get by on scraps if you absolutely must. I'd encourage fucking with "trigger" (or timer) spells, as they are KEY to more advanced spell making. left of coal mines also has really good wands to find, but its pretty deadly, risk reward.

Eat enough to get over 200 seconds of "high" buff. See what happens =D

Thats a very good aspect, and this scales up too. I won't spoil but you have bigger, and bigger tasks to do which require more, and more from you. its never BS, you just have to plan it.

as for alchemy, spoiler for what happened with the gold

every run has a combination of 3 elements which when close enough, will generate "alchemic precursor". This touches meat, and becomes midas liquid, which turns LITERALLY EVERYTHING into gold. This is random, sometimes very easy to make, sometimes crazy hard. Theres also a liquid which is basically health potion that can be generated

Besides that, theres not TOO much very special about alchemy. Water cleans toxic, slime is flame retardant, ect. Sorry if that seems spoiler but if you haven't figured that out yet, honestly WTF are you doing.
if you want a new challenge, might I suggest going LEFT of mines past the dark til you find something extremely dangerous (after going down a few levels to get yourself started, theres ways back up) .

Thank you for the timely response. I’ve been messing with timers and triggers ex- using plasma away from me, death cross to an enemy so far. I’m assuming there’s a lot more to those and to keep messing around.

If you wouldn’t mind answering specific question… what the hell is up with eggs and stuff? It seems alright, but it shows up so much I feel I’m missing something?

Also, by left do you mean collapsed mines, further down the fungal area or even further left? I’ve literally scratched the surface past the tree if that is similar area? I escaped back up and went to the left and saw enemies around snow.

Which is another thing I love about the game - feeling rewarded for exploring. Sure, it’s randomized each time, but when I was messing around on the far right wall before hisi base and found the bridge. I thought it was kinda meh until I realized it was the same bridge and I was back.

So far that is the only way I’ve found back up I can do no matter what. I’ve shot a black hole into a holy mountain and maybe I need a map on where that’s at because I don’t see how I’d get enough uses to go far?

Oh, almost submitted and recalled this - to the left where it is dark I couldn’t all seeing eye and I think fire didn’t work. Try more spells or is it obvious like the light spell I thought was useless lol.

Edit: Thank you for being very informative with out spoiling stuff. I really appreciate ya.

Best advice is to view wands FORMULAIC like. non shuffles in particular (which are GENERALLY what you want, but shuffle wands generally have stronger stats) let you use wands like a formula. IE, say you have trigger spark, damage plus modifier , 3x cast, and 3 bubble sparks, this will make every shot spawn 3 damage boosted bubble sparks ON IMPACT, which is enough to 1 shot a lot for a long while

Beyond that you need to factor in wand speed (pure spam is sometimes better than complex shit if you lack a good wand) regen (some wands are tiny pool but HUGE regen, to the point they are inexhaustible even if you can't cast anything too big, or the oppisite) ect. But GENERALLY you want to view it like spell based math, keeping in mind how everything interacts / stacks

theres ways to make crazy fast machine gun wands. My hint is, double casts when they lack another spell on the end of a wand, will ""WRAP"" and grab the FIRST spell again, and this feature can be exploited.
Put chainsaw, doublecast, some kinda bullet. because of wand coding, double cast seeks another spell, and casts chainsaw TWICE, and both times reduce cast delay, making it shoot even faster. This wont always be crazy if a wand sucks, but this humble combo can do TONS

And if you haven't already, spark on your starting bomb wand is a very serviceable stopgap weapon til you get something better.

Plasma is.... is powerful but melts away gold, is dangerous to self and honestly KINDA a crutch weapon you don't want to use as the goto (but I will say it absolutely assfucks a CERTAIN huge threat, near a warm place)
boss by the bridge right of first zone. plasma will absolutely FUCK HIM due to how he works

what the hell is up with eggs and stuff? It seems alright, but it shows up so much I feel I’m missing something?
if you mean eggs hatching into stuff, they are just things, I don't think theres much more than that. Egg SPELLS allow you to make a spell, put it in an egg, and hold them for later (IE, want to save a circle of regeneration for later? put them in an egg, put it in your pocket). Theres also an area (boss) only accessible via eggs. Its
The pyramid stone right side of the temple of the art. Hit it with 3 eggs, and try not to die

Definitely try exploring, basically any direction you will find stuff. But like I said, left of the mines is best to start getting higher level things which REALLY change up your limitations as a wizard.

Great advice provided, I would add that any projectile modifier can be used for "spell wrapping", not just multi spell modifiers. Any modifier needs a projectile to modify, so when placed at the end of your spell sequnece will wrap back around to the start and grab the first projectile it can find.

Also the egg spell that spawns enemies is useful in a couple of late/end-game instances.

As for alchemy, experiment with mixing stuff together. There's quite a lot there. For example you can mix Flummoxium and Berserkium to make Pheremone, a potion that has some very helpful applications.

Enjoy. It's a great game.

Someone gift it to me in christmas, aparently my taste on games are the hyper autistic variant, is been pretty fun, although i keep dying at stupid shit all the time, recently i discovered that eating too many shrooms causes reality to change, in this run all lava turned into vomit, pretty cool.

I dont know what eating does exactly but i've been stuffing my mouth with anything i can find.

This is working as intended.

MOSTLY its pointless outside a few things. You can however eat potions for a buff that isn't washed off. Berserkium is nice for this. you can also right click a flask to drink a SIP of it for a brief buff. Do not try this with acid unless you want to commit canadian health care.
