There in lies the problem. In a perfect world we could have sensible restrictions, and indeed, it’s possible to do. Such restrictions are already present on gambling websites, for example. The problem is that people are shitty, and shitty people use sensible restrictions as a jumping platform to other, more nefarious things. It’s also pretty much impossible to enforce fully with VPNs, but that’s a little more effort than the average kid living at home is willing to put in. If porn specific sites were forced to use a .xxx domain then it would help a lot and separate sites like Twitter, Reddit, or the Farms who aren’t specifically adult, but host adult material, from being lumped into the same category. Plus it would help parents using filtering apps.
