I was hoping Switch 1 games would have better performance on Switch 2 regardless. Maybe the difference is just stuff like voice chat, but it could very well be 30fps capped on Switch, wouldn't be the first such case. Just buy better hardware bro, programming is hard. It doesn't bode well for the 2D enjoyer.I was going to call you an autistic smartass for not knowing how integer scaling works, but you might actually be right. Based on Steam screenshots, Cosmic Invasion is 270p, which already scales perfectly into 1080p. Unless it has uncapped framerates or faster load times or something, the two versions should be exactly the same.
I once noticed that early-00s twinstick shooter Crimsonland has been released for PS3, PS4, and PS5, and I always wondered how that worked. Or why. I figured they were probably all exactly the same, but got a few more sales with each additional rerelease.
