Might be quite late to the party but, aside from the horrendous prices what's everybody excited for? I can't wait for tomodachi life 3 but that's probably the only IP I give a shit about aside from animal crossing which hopefully they'll give us 15 villagers per town again and make us more passive in our role in the town but with the success of ACNH that'll never happen.
AC is pretty much dead in the water with how hard they fumbled it after new leaf started attracting the troon crowd.
Personally i just hope they fucking do something with kid icarus, ice climbers or even f-zero seeing as how the new blood isn't butthurt about those franchises

I'm immeasurably hyped for Kirby's Air Ride 2, I called that shit a mile off and now I'm legally obligated to be excited for it. I've actually been replaying the original just to get hyped. I hope the new city trial has a longer time limit and a bigger map though.

Switch one had what might well be the best launch year line-up of all time. Zelda, Capt. Toad and Mario Kart as cross-gen titles, Mario Odyssey, XC2, Splatoon 2, Arms and Mario/Rabbids as exclusives, Snipperclips and Overcooked as indie exclusives. You have to go back to, like, the NES combining three years of Famicom releases into one to really compare.
So basically Odyssey, XC2, Splatoon 2, ARMS, and Mario & Rabbids for true exclusives. Not bad but kinda mid, but you definitely don't need to go back to NES to compare.

GBA:

Sonic Advance
F-Zero: Maximum Velocity
Mario Kart: Super Circuit
Advance Wars
Golden Sun
Wario Land 4
Mega Man Battle Network
Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis
Klonoa: Empire of Dreams
Castlevania: Circle of the Moon

I would bet GC, PS2, DC, DS, and SNES probably also beat it, with several others being comparable.

I went through the list later on and there ended up being a bunch of stuff I left out. The Pokken port, Fire Emblem Warriors, the Bayonetta ports/remakes (? I dunno, much like all consumers I don't give a fuuuuuuuuck about Bayonetta), Dragon Quest Builders and Kirby Star Allies all came out within the first year. I'd gladly take that over the GBA's offerings. I also think its a flat-head move to not include dual releases in your list. I didn't own a Wii U at the time and sure as fuck was not about to start and, based on numbers, over 90 percent of Switch owners were in the same boat as me. For them and me stuff like BotW and Mario Kart 8 were only going to ever be Switch games. Not that it matters as Odyssey, Splatoon 2 and Xenoblade 2 alone more than beat that wall of mid GBA stuff.

None exclusive. Pretty good though.

Painfully mid Kirby, but a Kirby nonetheless, can't downplay it.

In practical terms sure, but it's still a fact those games were available elsewhere.

Now we're getting down to quality vs quantity. Odyssey is a real heavy hitter, but the others aren't beating the likes of Sonic, Mega Man, and Castlevania bro, get real. And these are actually top tier entries in their respective series too.

Sonic Advance looked like shit and Battle Network... also looked like shit. Xenoblade 2 is one of the best JRPGs of the last 20 years.

Sonic Advance still looks very good. BN aged a little worse visually but still looks fine.

If XBC2 is anything like that one on 3DS that I immediately dropped after the very first fight because the combat was total ass, then there's no way it's one of the best JRPGs even just on Switch alone.

Out of curiosity, how does the prices of PC hardware compare? How much more would it cost to build a mid-range gaming rig in Mexico?

Getting the base system with donkey kong , mario kart, a sd card (256gb) , and a pro controller amounts almost the same as buying a gaming laptop over here.
Around 24k Pesos....

That's cool Carlos. Let me know when you can play Open World Mario Kart on your gay little computer.
Chill out cracker....
Already have two of those laptops...

I was just answering a question that was asked.

I agree that the laptop is not gonna play mario kart .. getting the switch 2 anyways. Just not right now... sold out even here.

I really want to get my hands on Mario Kart and Fast Fusion.

Tomodachi Life is also high up on the list. And I actually look forward to replaying some Switch games with the upgrades. Any word on Endless Ocean getting the Switch 2 treatment?

Welp looks like I have to get a Switch 2 now, because apparently Marvel Cosmic Invasion for Switch is different than Marvel Cosmic Invasion for Switch 2, somehow. They must have drawn the sprites with more Ks or something.

Even the Wii U sold its initial shipment and remember the absolutely insane levels PS3 scalpers were go to secure consoles at launch? Both of them ended up being infinite flops where supply quickly outstripped demand. I'd look at the three months after launch as a much better indicator of whether scalpers will be winners or losers.
Scalpers will be fine either way. Most retailers will take returns on them within 30 days. Especially if they are sealed. Within 2 weeks they will know the pulse of the market and move accordingly.

In fact the scalping market is going to be a barometer. If they start going only 50 to 100 bucks over msrp in the first 2 months its a very worrying sign for Nintendo. Scalpers will start at 1000 and start going down 100 every 3 or 4 days until they find the spot it moves.

I was going to call you an autistic smartass for not knowing how integer scaling works, but you might actually be right. Based on Steam screenshots, Cosmic Invasion is 270p, which already scales perfectly into 1080p. Unless it has uncapped framerates or faster load times or something, the two versions should be exactly the same.
