"And the second beast required all people small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark—the name of the beast or the number of its name." - Revelation 13:16-17
The U.S. government has their own version in the works, they call them CBDCs now.
Johnny Silverhand was right about Corpos.

Enshittification is sadly the norm on many corporations. Nintendo included. We went from comfy controllers and Gameboys that can survive a bombing to overpriced plastic crap whose games you effectively rent.

Times like these its key to make physical media of the older stuff. Cause its gonna be an inevitability that the games of the future are gonna be following the gacha model. Always online and once the service dies congratulations, your purchase just died with it.
GameCube controller still feels good to use to this day. The fucking switch with its sideways tablet photo mode controller was annoying me since the WiiU days, cause that's all it is, a reworked WiiU. It's too wide to ever be comfortable.

My gripe is the reason I was going to pre order was Cyberpunk, Elden Ring and Bravely Default but it seems to be suggesting only Cyberpunk will be on Cart.

That hand cramp thing is no joke. I've unfortunately had to use the joycons to play Mario Kart 8 at a relative's house and within the end of the first race my hands were screaming with burning pains.

Like, the Wii remote sideways is more comfortable than those joycons and the Wii remote is nothing but a skinnier ice cream sandwich bar with an indent in the back. How the hell do you go from "NES controller that universally anyone can use" to "controller for ants"?

The Switch 2 is at the price of a home console rather than a handheld.
The Switch is a home console what are you even trying to say??

Are we supposed to take you seriously
Big mistake. None of us are to be taken seriously. I don't take any of you seriously and you should not take me seriously.

Eat more plastic. That's what I'm doing.

For all the shit people gave the Wii U, the tablet controller was at least really comfortable to hold. The Switch on the other hand is an ergonomic nightmare to use portably.

Well then go to a game store, they all price match off of ebay. All you're really telling us is that you don't know what old game systems cost. I mean, really, 300 dollars for a Wii U? Are we supposed to take you seriously when you go around saying that?
Actually, didn't we have this same conversation before, months ago, for the Nintendo DS where you claimed it was selling for twice its actual street price because you are banned from ebay? Whoever your source is, they're ripping you off. Go to any independent retro game store, even to Gamestop and they'll have a better price than whatever scummy scammer is currently selling you game stuff.

Honestly I just wish Nintendo were clear with stuff. Like the download game carts. The obvious question to answer is ‘does it require the eshop to download or is it like redownloads, which is the one bit Nintendo never seems to shut off. Meaning can I buy it any time and the download still work?’

A lot of the blow back and complaimts is Nintendo, again, not explaining shit.

Counter-point: you are all impatient, never satisfied manchildren.

But you are largely correct and Nintendo will not respond to you. You don't deserve it. Buy the thing, you will do it. Stop playing tough.

It takes 5 seconds to say, you will always be able to download even when system goes off line and doesn’t make everyone think they are scrambling to explain it.

I won’t unless base game on cart or always accessable I’m not buying. If the Switch 2 Editions don’t come with the update on cart I will not be buying.

Who said anything about which consoles have what problems? You said the Switch was priced as a handheld, which it wasn’t.
I did not. It was priced between a handheld and a home console. A handheld is about 200. A home console is about 400 nowadays. The Switch is at 300. It is between. A hybrid.

The Switch is a home console what are you even trying to say??
The Switch and the Switch 2 are hybrids. Not full on home consoles. They can short off function as home consoles but you can take them on the go and play. Try that with a PS5.

I would strongly assume it’s like a redownload, but they need to clarify.

Case in point, the BotW and TotK upgrades are both free for NSO Expansion Pack members. You’d think this would be a good thing to explicitly point out during the presentation itself, but it’s buried at the bottom of their website.

Double post because I have another question: 4K caps at 60 FPS. 1080p goes up to 120 FPS. What about 1440p? We already knows it supports that resolution, and they’ve said “120 FPS is only available at 1080p” but they didn’t specify if 1440p is capped at 60 or goes up to something like 90.
1440p caps at 24fps, grayscale.

Ah, so they have more features and function and should cost more.

Come on!! :lit:

Exactly. Suddenly the pain goes away for a lot of people if it is like a redownload and you’ll always be able to do that evennif everything shits down. Takes 5 seconds to explain and also explains why it’s on cart, you will be able to sell it or give it to someone else decades later and it will be fine

But currently everyone is left confused
You’d think this would be a good thing to explicitly point out during the presentation itself, but it’s buried at the bottom of their website.
Especially when the presentation has an entire section on the benefits of Switch 2 Online Expansion Sub

Either give a source for this or stop spreading it. I’ve asked multiple times in this thread and not a single person can give any proof that physical games cost more than digital in the US.
>”but this news site said-“
Okay, where did the news site get it from? Because Nintendo’s own site says DK is $70 MSRP and Mario Kart is $80 MSRP; still overpriced, mind you, but not what people have deluded themselves into thinking they are.

Not a Wii U I still have that and it probably works.
I was talking about my 3ds. You're misreading my post. 3ds prices will only go up. Back then I got them for 150-200 and next year I wouldn't be surprised if they go for 400+ since they stopped producing them.
