I think I've read somewhere that Wii U and 3DS VC games will transfer with a small fee. But if you bought both the 3DS and Wii U version of a VC game you get the switch version for free.

Oh boy I can't wait to pay MORE money for ROMs I've purchased more than once! Said no one ever.

Anyone looking forward to Fast RMX? Looks like an ideal launch-day coop title that isn't Snipperclips

if it had gamecube vc at launch i'd buy it.
Might be a problem with the hardware - the switch doesn't have analogue triggers, which are crucial to many Gamecube games.

Looks like battery life for this thing is absolute trash. Multiple outlets tried a myriad of conditions, and NONE of them managed to make it last for longer than three hours. For comparison, that's about as much as you'd get out of a 3DS - if you ran it as wastefully as possible (might brightness setting, max volume, WiFi enabled).

If Nintendo wants to see this thing last longer than a couple months, then a revision with a better battery is inevitable. Unless this is as long as they could make it last, in which case, why even bother with the portability gimmick?

I mean, they've got those Gamecube controller adapters for Smash that aren't being used for anything else... Not like they'll think to do anything with that. At this point, I might as well just download an ISO for Baten Kaitos Origins and play it on Dolphin.

The FAST games are fun, considering their 'not!F-Zero' nature. They do lack a bit of the risk factor since you don't get to blow up from running out of energy anymore, but the boost/switch functions are very nice. Even the original Wii game is fun.

Really looking forward to FAST RMX, it looks really slick and should run well on switch hardware. I hope the HD rumble is as good as it sounds for this game.

I'm planning on getting the Switch and BOTW once I get my paycheck late this week. Perhaps I'm just fanboy trash for Nintendo, but honestly I'm pretty excited for it to be released, despite the cons it has.

I do have to say that I kind of wish the pro controller wasn't so expensive though, considering how much I have to spend on the console and just one game.

Well this is a nice little surprise.

Can't say I'm shocked, but if this is any indicator of what we're in for...

Granted, this is IGN and I take what they say with a grain of salt, but they bring up solid arguments against the Switch, the same ones I took into consideration when I cancelled my pre-order last week.

I mean, you have to take into consideration that the Wii U score is from two years after its launch (once more games were available for it).

I have 300 bucks saved up for games on other systems. I sold my Wii u and a few games about a month ago because I hardly ever used it. Nintendo is pretty much like the video game's industry equivalent of The Simpsons at this point.

Its important to consider that the Wii U, on its release, had better graphics than any of its then-released competition while the Switch doesn't. However, and everyone should have known this, the Wii U's real competition was only a year away from release and was capable of blowing it out of the water and precluded ports. The Switch's long-term competition is already out and has a similar graphical performance level. Given that launch systems don't exactly have huge libraries to go off of you will usually see reviews go off of potential, in this case they over-estimated the Wii U's potential (or under-estimated how quickly the XBO and PS4 would arrive and sell.)

I won't be surprised if everyone that bought a Switch used the portability just once and used it like a normal console the rest to the systems lifespan.

I was drooling to get this at launch but now I'm glad I didn't preorder it based on all the horrible things i'm seeing

I'll wait until Mario Odyssey because I'm a complete autist for the red plumber
