Just to be clear, you are making an argument that ZELDA is not a game Nintendo fans want to play from the Gamecube library.

I think they're just holding back some ports of mainline Mario and Zelda games from the Gamecube and Wii back so they have some they can port to Switch 2. Since Switch games work on Switch 2, consumers will just be able to play anything that gets ported to Switch on Switch 2. If they blow their wad too early, they won't have any new remasters to release over the next decade or so during times when the release schedule is a bit thin. I don't even think Wind Waker or Twilight Princess would be that much work, because they've already done HD remasters for Wii U that they can port over with minimal changes.
There's apparently another Direct happening next month for Switch 1 games, so if the rumoured Zelda ports are going to pop up anywhere it'll be there.

isn't that just a rumor?

Seems odd that it would be next month, given that's the month when there's always a Pokémon Presents on the 27th. Especially if it's only for Switch 1. Maybe they're trying some weird synergy tactic, dunno.

Going to wait for an official source to announce it.

It's more like an educated guess. Almost every single February since the directs started in 2012 have had a Nintendo direct of some kind. Some were single title directs, some were indie directs. The only time there wasn't a Nintendo direct in February was in 2016 and 2018, where it was shown in early March.

Yeah it's a rumour, but they have at least two months between now and the Switch 2 being properly demoed and even longer after that for the actual release. After Xenoblade X Definitive Edition in March, they're out of games to release. Makes sense to throw some more ports out there to bridge the gap.

What if I’m sitting in a spot other than the furthest-right seat of my couch? What if the armrest isn’t big enough, or is curved, or isn’t at a length that aligns with positioning my arm in a typical mouse-holding position?
did you have the same problems with the motion controles?

as a form factor the switch 2 will have options, and unless it works like dogshit the best way to play those would be sitting at a desk or smal sofa table next you you.

Some new SNES games just got added to NSO.

I couldn't imagine myself dumping shekels into the VC back during the Wii days, it just didn't make sense with emulation at my fingertips.

18 years later, and I still can't imagine myself dumping shekels into the VC, because it just doesn't make sense with emulation at my fingertips.

Now imagine dumping shekels into renting the VC with a slow drip-feed of 2, sometimes 3 games per month instead of every fucking game at once, with higher costs for newer ROMs that you cannot store on your console, with shittier and glitchier emulators than the free ones, and you will lose access to them the instant you stop paying after the yearly subscription. Nintendocucks just can't stop losing.

two to tree roms a month, very optimistic.
we where blessed that they dropped all dong land roms all at once wierdly spaced out by days.

Fatal Fury 2? Not bad. Feels like it's been a while since they added anything decent before this. It's still absurd they don't drop games every month for each system.

Don't have a Switch but Im guessing another Mario Kart (how orignial...), probably a new Zelda game and a new smash game will be the games that the manchild audience will consume the most on the new console. Maybe another Skyrim port than the new switch will also struggle to run. I do not consume soylent and I am not a Troon so I will not be purchasing one. The Nintendo community is one of the most faggot infested spheres in gaming.

As opposed to CoD and FIFA on the other two?

Grab a board out of the trash and lay it across your lap. Or use the controller like a controller because that will undoubtedly be an option for every Switch 2 game. Why bitch about being given options?

I just can't imagine it working longterm. Yeah, its feasible but I am picturing myself settling in for hours of Civ with a mouse that I run along my lap and... yeah... that just isn't gonna last more than five minutes.
