Another Nintendo internal leak happened earlier this week. This time it was iQue internal e-mails. Highlights are as follows:
iQue was making a GameCube emulator for Wii U in 2013.
The codename for Switch Virtual Console was Clipper, as in when it was still piecemeal games, possibly part of the original NSO plans.
iQue was actually managing NES and N64 emulation for it.
They had online support, as well as a fun mode where 4 players automatically swap controllers after a set interval.
It was definitely worked on in 2016 and 2017, and then canned possibly when NSO's retro games offering was announced to be revamped.
It was worked on by NERD, M2 and iQue.
NERD has maybe a N64 emulator codenamed Mushi (fits alongside the Hanafuda theme).
It uses software rendering.
Nintendo introduced iQue to Panasonic Vietnam in 2018.
Nintendo wanted for either September 2019 (or 2018?) to give them the custody of N64 emulation.
