I think most regular users in the off topic boards are in their 30s with a scattering of people in their 20s and 40s, just based on the frames of reference in terms of pop culture I see people using.
Sounds about right to me.

Oh yeah, some of those intro screens even had baked-in trainers (a cheat menu) too.
That's convenient, I like that.

I'm indifferent to the black family ad.

I'm not going to get upset at people for being upset, but I'm at the point where I'm just happy they're not two faggots with some kids tbqh.
I'm at the point where I just expect all TV commercials/ads to be ESG garbage that don't do anything to make me want to buy the thing, but since the only time I ever have to see ads or commercials are when I'm at store with TVs playing stuff, I'm completely out of the loop on those things.

I thought their Brie Larson ads from years ago were super cringe, but that's nice to hear their ads are also ESG quota.

Were the Switch ports of Civilization any good? Still bummed we never got Xcom Enemy Within on Switch. It is the perfect game for that system and XCOM 2 is not even close.

I have Civ 6 on the Switch, works great and it's very comfy. Maybe in the later stages there are slight lags when you go to the next round.
Counterpoint: If you love huge maps, then the Switch port sucks ass as it will randomly stop allowing you to save your game after the save file reaches a certain size. Like. not on custom overly large maps either, on default "huge" size as listed in the game.

Now, maybe they fixed this since I last played, but when I did last play, I checked Civ Fanatics and they said that it was a known issue that hadn't been fixed or mitigated in over a year so I doubt it has been fixed since.

Will look into this. I like either very small maps or huge maps.

At this point being a fan of Nintendo is just like being in an abusive relationship

"Oh Nintendo, I love you so much, you're the only one that makes good fun games anymore!"
*SLAP* [TTYD Remake re-translation]
*PUNCH* [DMCA's everywhere]
"No that's O.K. Nintendo, I'll just tell everyone i fell down the stairs again."

With AI advancing its only going to get easier for these sort of DMCA takedown request to be mass distributed.

If you don't already have it you should download as many ROMs of games you like as you can; you can't assume they're gonna be easily accessible forever.

I generally don't have this problem. What are you people doing wrong?

NoA is the main cultprit here. I'm thinking of going as far as to import a Switch 2 from Japan to deprive NoA of the sale.
Is it really that or do you just want to take advantage of the devalued yen? There's no shame about it but I would still prefer the NA box and warranty.

Hogwarts sold super well and they're already cutting the price in half. Crazy.
It's actually crazy how that game is able to run at all on the Switch. Sure there's more load times to compensate and the visuals took a hit, but if you're playing on handheld neither of those things really matters much. Ports on Switch 2 are gonna be interesting.

Edit:
Big day for Gameboy fans. Five Mega Man games just dropped on NSO.
