I'd temper my expectations. It's because of years of silly rumors and leaks that you get people speculating about insane specs, when in the end, the issues boil down to the same thing: Apart from OLED, none of those are conducive to decent battery life and thermal profile.I hope Switch 2 does inbrace new tec more. Stuff like HDR (HDR+ or DV support would be even better), 120HZ/ variable refresh rate support and having a screen much like that Steam Deck that can handle 40fps.
Would say hope for a OLED or OD-OLED screen at launch, but Nintendo will just try to sell that later to get people to double dip.
Even back with the Switch, we knew it was a Tegra X1 device, but even the folks at DF weren't expecting Nintendo to downclock the crap out of it by that much, and it's even worse in handheld mode. Today, they get soyboys asking them if the Switch 2 will basically do everything the Deck does, and more, and still expect a 299$ price point. Probably in the exact same form factor too.
Gaming marketing got out of hand, which even Nvidia just went back and started peddling their hardware as... 1080p gaming capable again. Not 4K, certainly not the 8K that Sony slapped on their console's box (Which by the way, it took years for them to add native 2K support).
