Duck Hunt never got a re-release because light guns don't work on modern tvs, but yeah, the vast majority of its sales were in the form of Mario Bros./Duck Hunt or Mario Bros./Duck Hunt/Track and Field pack-in carts, which Nintendo insists on counting as an idividual sale of both games AND an NES sale, instead of just as an NES sale.
It was rereleased on Wii U

I've always preferred it. I wish they kept the optional outlines exclusive to 3DS for Ultimate, it makes it a lot easier to visually track things, especially on certain stages where characters blend into the backgrounds at times.
It had better single player. Smash Run is vastly superior to Tour and its Classic Mode is also better. All Wii U had going for it was the multiplayer, which quickly got killed once Ultimate came out.

I'm still perplexed why Nintendo hasn't given a good gameplay footage of the new Peach game. The game releases in less of a month and I still have no idea how it plays or if it's worth purchasing. Why is that?
Because its gonna be trash for babby. Like, unironically, I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out that Good-Feel was the dev and after a solid decade of working with Nintendo they've still only managed to put out a single game that was actually good.

The gimmick seems to be that each outfit is a somewhat new playstyle. Looking at the majority, it seems to be a mix of 2d platformer, 3D hallway platformer and beat-em-up.

  • Thief Peach is 2D Platformer
  • Mighty Peach is beat-em-up/ 2D Galaga Gunner
  • Mermaid Peach is a 2d puzzle platformer
  • Cowgirl Peach is a beat-em-up with a 2D platformer section (likely auto run)
  • Cook Peach is minigames
  • Ninja Peach is stealth 3D hallway platformer
  • Ice Skating Peach is a 3D hallway platformer, likely with a dance component.
  • Detective Peach is a detective game
  • Kung Fu Peach is a beat-em-up.
  • Swordfighter Peach is a beat-em-up.

You could have just saved some time and said it was because the game is gonna be shit.

It's going to be a Yoshi's New Island tier game. Solid 6/10 release calendar filler.

Good Feel is out working on Goemon.

It is being speculated that this is Koizumi's team because he apparently pushes hard for Peach to be a star player. That would mean this is the EDP group responsible for 3D World, Captain Toad and Odyssey.

Other studio potentially doing this is Arzest.

Honestly wished they would just make a regular platform game, instead of this gimmicky costume thing, game looks mid.

Gameplay will be very easy, much like Kirby. So outside of the transformations, there isn't much to see besides the solutions to the puzzles.

It's a kid's game. Will be fun and easy and hopefully getting to 100% will offer a small challenge.

Sounds good to me!

Good Feel actually has two teams now, it would line up that the Nintendo team is doing Peach while the Goemon-clone team is now doing real Goemon.

Edit: Oh, you meant the Goemon-clone game when you said Goemon. Yeah, thats out already but like I said, Good-Feel is two seperate studios now. There's very little in your GF link other than Koizumi likes Peach. So while it could be EPD8 (as a side game while most work on the next Mario title) it also could be nearly anyone. I think its likely Good-Feel, Arzest also possible but I think Nintendo is, thankfully, done with them. Could be the B-N Studio 2, could be the 3rd Monolithsoft team's game (and man would that suck,) could be a work for hire unit like Ganbarion or Eighting, could be Tose (they do this instead of Starfy to piggyback on the IP), etc.

Because

If this were a Wario game or a Yoshi game, I'd understand the uproar, but this is a game clearly made for younger audiences (more specifically, little girls) so why are people chomping at the bit for more info on it?!

Because
it's fucking princess peach.mp4

Just because something is "for children" doesn't mean it has to suck. SMBW was for kids, Kirby and the Forgotten Land was for kids. Neither was low effort swill.

the first fresh 2D Mario in over a decade. I can understand the hype for that.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land
was the first 3D Kirby game. Again, THAT actually warrants excitement.

This, aside from the argument that it's Peach's first solo outing in over 20 years, I have no idea what all the hype is about, and don't chalk this up to "we don't have that much info on it yet!" It looks like an excellent entry-level game for kids, but that's it. Nothing more, nothing less.

Nintendo is suing Yuzu
