If they add a hard mode and maybe some post-game content,
I'm reasonably sure that this is off the table, tbh. You'd think that an hard mode or some extra content would be something that was worth advertising

They just did the one trailer, and its only purpose was to say “holy shit Paper Mario is good again”. Mario RPG’s postgame content wasn’t announced until close to its launch.

How are you supposed to obtain one? I don't think they sell directly from the site.
It's been announced, but not released yet. I would be wary of grabbing one until it's been proven to work without console bans. Switch games are weird in that each and every copy (physical and digital) of a game has a unique bit of identifying code (a serial number essentially), and the current theory is that this particular system is going to be how Nintendo bans consoles running flash carts. If the servers detect a duplicate serial running, associated consoles will likely be assumed "tampered or running pirated software" and be banned.

Stagnant? Doesn’t it already have OS plugins, homebrew, mods, themes, and all that other stuff?
Like he said, there's only one working softmod method (which is honestly piss easy, but there's a hard limit to how many modded switches can even exist due to the specific hardware limitations). Besides piracy, the Switch is probably the most enjoyable modded system I've owned because of the ease of use and the diversity of its homebrew. I also like being able to run it as a Switch, Linux device and Android tablet just by swapping SD cards.

I don't think Nintendo would release a Switch 2. Steam Deck exists. It is a real computer and not hardware on a cucked OS, so it naturally has more games.

I think fans are look forward to a new gimmick from Nintendo after 8 years of Switch.

You are going to be veeeery disappointed in another 4 to 5 months.

what will likely be the second most popular games device of all time

That's a very specific window.

Why would they just release the exact same fucking console with slightly better hardware? That makes 0 sense.
after making what will likely be the second most popular games device of all time
Yes, and they will probably support it for years to come. The 3DS came out in 2011 and its support will cease in 2024.

Because its a massive open market. If you boil down blue ocean to "do something new each time" you have totally misunderstood the strategy. It is about selling a product different from your competitors. Neither has a hybrid so an iterative change is still blue ocean in this case, just like DS->3DS.
