I thought you meant GameCube because I'm retarded.GBC sold well north 50 million units before the GBA's release
Nintendo usually capitalizes on a gimmick. They haven't always done that with their handheld consoles, though you have to remember that the Switch is a hybrid. I would be very disappointed if they released Switch 2: Electric Boogaloo.Besides, aren't most new systems traditionally just the same shit with more horse power under the hood?
The Wii U was more of the same though. Just because the Wii was successful it didn't make the Wii U successful. ACKTUALLY the Nintendo Switch surpassed the Wii U and it had the brand new gimmicks in this scenario. I win.It worked out great for Wii U
Be prepared to be verrry disappointed in the next three to five months.I thought you meant GameCube because I'm retarded.

I can't wait to come out on top and shit on all of you.Be prepared to be verrry disappointed in the next three to five months.
Not really. Switch barely has a gimmick. The only gimmicky home systems they released were Wii and Wii U and Wii U flopped.Nintendo usually capitalizes on a gimmick. Wait, how will you come out on top in this scenario?I can't wait to come out on top and shit on all of you.
The former. If the latter turns out to be the case, then I still retain bragging rights. If it isn't just a glorified Switch upgrade or if it is one and it sells like shit?
What about the detachable controllers? What about the dock? The entire idea of making the Wii U controller its own console was a gimmick and a successful one at that. Not really. Switch barely has a gimmick.
I think you're getting your wires crossed and confusing features that are fairly pedestrian such as being able to hook a portable up to a TV, with gimmicks that radically shift the way end users are expected to interact with a piece of software like mandatory motion or touch screen controls. Switch was the least gimmicky thing Nintendo has released since the Gamecube. The vast majority of games are traditional experiences. What about the detachable controllers? What about the dock?
Bro, it's a Gameboy that hooks up to the TV. Wii U was a totally different experience because you were meant to use two screens at once. The entire idea of making the Wii U controller its own console was a gimmick and a successful one at that.
What is Nintendo DS?because you were meant to use two screens at once.
If we follow what you're doing now to its logical conclusion the Wii U is just a home version of the Nintendo DS, which really doesn't support the idea that Nintendo created a new gimmick for Wii U or Switch, so I don't know why you'd bring it up, frankly. What is Nintendo DS?
All I know is that Nintendo will make an announcement by the end of the year at the latest and it won't be for a Switch 2.If we follow what you're doing now to its logical conclusion the Wii U is just a home version of the Nintendo DS, which really doesn't support the idea that Nintendo created a new gimmick for Wii U or Switch, so I don't know why you'd bring it up, frankly.
Nintendo will announce The Pulverizer is an autistic faggot and Cardassins are retarded. All I know is that Nintendo will make an announcement by the end of the year at the latest and it won't be for a Switch 2.
Nintendo will say Dukat did nothing wrong.Nintendo will announce The Pulverizer is an autistic faggot and Cardassins are retarded.
Would that brick the system? Just not being able to play online doesn't seem like a bad tradeoff, and maybe you can simply use it in airplane mode, then remove it hopefully. It's been announced, but not released yet. I would be wary of grabbing one until it's been proven to work without console bans. Switch games are weird in that each and every copy (physical and digital) of a game has a unique bit of identifying code (a serial number essentially), and the current theory is that this particular system is going to be how Nintendo bans consoles running flash carts. If the servers detect a duplicate serial running, associated consoles will likely be assumed "tampered or running pirated software" and be banned.
There's no way they'll go back to supporting two consoles, and of course won't cede their unassailable position in the portable market, so their next system will unquestionably be a portable. These days there's no reason to not let a portable connect to a TV, so...they're basically keeping the hybrid design for the foreseeable future.I don't think Nintendo would release a Switch 2. Steam Deck exists. It is a real computer and not hardware on a cucked OS, so it naturally has more games.
I think fans are look forward to a new gimmick from Nintendo after 8 years of Switch.
Who said they'll do that? Not that it's unprecedented anyway, far from it. They will probably tack a new gimmick onto Switch 2, make it stronger, and call it a day.Why would they just release the exact same fucking console with slightly better hardware? That makes 0 sense.
It did, it was just much more practical. Detachable Joycons and a kickstand for impromptu multiplayer, HD Rumble, and the hybrid concept while technically not entirely new was perfected elegantly; these are all types of gimmicks, just like dual screens or a gamepad.Switch barely has a gimmick.
I'm not entirely sure how a ban works as I've never experienced it first hand, but to my knowledge it effectively kills the Switchs ability to connect to the Internet at all once its been banned.Would that brick the system? It has happened, shortly after the Switch came out someone posted on the GBAtemp forums asking how to bypass the ban (stolen credit cards) but i don't quite remember exactly what the ban did. Pretty sure it was hardware level and not account level though, but just affected internet connectivityI'm not entirely sure how a ban works as I've never experienced it first hand, but to my knowledge it effectively kills the Switchs ability to connect to the Internet at all once its been banned.
A common complaint people have with the Switch is that you can't really bring it anywhere with you. The 3DS and all the Game Boys could easily fit in your pocket. If Nintendo will do a hybrid again, then I think this one will lean more towards a home console than a portable. They will probably tack a new gimmick onto Switch 2, make it stronger, and call it a day.
That's why a lot of people want a Switch Mini, it's such a smart move that there's no way they'll do it.A common complaint people have with the Switch is that you can't really bring it anywhere with you. The grey Switch Lite looks okay, not too childish, but they should take a look at Sony's handhelds for inspiration in terms of aesthetics. They're the best looking ones imo, especially the PSP Go.The only tech companies that create new stuff at this point is Nintendo and Valve, so it's always interesting to see what their designers have come up with. I do hope their next console looks less childish than the Switch.
