The redesign isn't great, but what little gameplay we've seen seems novel if nothing else. That said, out of all the current projects Golden Axe is the one I'm the least excited about (having never played the original games).
Gonna be honest, the best classic Golden Axe game was the Zelda clone released for the SMS.

Though this is speaking as someone who isn't normally a fan of beat-em-ups so take that as you will.

I was just trying to be positive.
Sorry, my brain sometimes doesn't understand intent.

Apparently theres a flashcart for the switch now by team excuter
Found an article on it
>A new video shared today on YouTube by Modern Vintage Gamer suggests how the team and Gary Bowser, who was released from prison last year for good behavior but has yet to pay ten million dollars back to Nintendo, may be involved.

Oh boy, I sure do hope that this will lead into some genuine progress in the rather stagnant Switch hacking scene instead of just being used purely for piracy reasons, especially when the bigger youtubers like Mutahar to talk about it (while obviously lampshading said piracy issues it will bring) and then subsequently become shocked and appalled when Nintendo also takes notice and kills the project entirely because of what flashcarts do.

Seriously, Nintendo dropped the ball fucking HARD by not making this a feature on the Switch. The fucking 3DS had this shit, why would you take a way a feature that people actually liked from a previous console/handheld generation?

"NAH, FUCK THAT!!! Let's just make everyone stare at a generic black/white screen when they boot up the switch! But hey, at least you can customize your icons!!!"

It’s had themes from day one though! Black and white!

Seriously, why even bother making a themes menu at all?

The console has a screenshot button... like how hard would it have been to give the user the option to set a screenshot as their background? Or even better, have a background that changes the image every 5/10/30 seconds. Maybe have a separate folder in the SD card specifically for wallpapers, and people can go online and download their favorite ones that you can set to the correct aspect ratio on the switch.

Typing all that i just realized the Switch doesn't even have an internet browser. The fucking Wii had an internet browser but the Switch doesn't?

How are you supposed to obtain one? I don't think they sell directly from the site.

I hate when they do that. Some of the bigger ones include the 3DS' playlog and Wii U's better handling of the friend system. On Wii I think you used to be able to gift digital games to others, and DS had simple but charming apps like Nintendo themed alarms (not a big deal or super useful stuff, but still).

We might get themes this year. With the Switch 2 coming out this year it makes sense to have a Switch Mini as a cheaper portable, and it'll come in all sorts of skins so it makes sense to have it more customizeable.

The console/handheld setup for the Wii/DS and Wii U/3DS worked great, it would be incredibly dumb if nintendo didn't repackage the first gen Switch as the cheaper handheld.

3D for the 3DS was kind of overrated, in a way
There were a few games that made good use of it, but they weren't necessary.

A Link Between Worlds was amazing, it was like peering into a shoebox diorama, like some sort of physical toy where you're turning knobs and such to move things around in the diorama

Aside from the spin-off crap like the Peach game and the Mario vs. DK remake, what other games is Nintendo going to release this year?

The 3DS was a thing because back then 3D TV's were all the rage and 3D/4D movies were being hyped by entertainment fags. I'm definitely sure it was around the same time Disney was re-showing their older movies in "special" theaters in 3D because I got dragged into seeing one (Beauty And The Beast). Those fucking glasses were gross because they felt like they got finished going through a bukkake party with all that fucking sanitary goop they would dunk them in.

Regarding the 3D itself, it was fine for the most part, but going from the smaller 3DS to the "NEW" model that was bigger was definitely noticeable on the eyes, even after re-adjusting the thing a bazillion times. The BIG problem though was the ghosting that would mostly happen if there was a scene where the background was black... shit would wind up making you cross-eyed.

The New 3DS series used a camera to track the position of your eyes so it could correct the focal point of the displays in real time. the old one assumed you kept your head and 3DS in perfect position while playing
