More power doesn't have to equal higher resolutions, though; it also means being able to handle lower resolutions more consistently, which is important when even first party games are struggling to run. I think at the very least, a Switch 2 needs to be able to handle anything that's thrown at it at 1080p60, no questions asked (same goes for portable mode; 720p60 for everything). And it should at least have the capacity to push up to 4K, even if most games only go up to 1440p. Basically, almost on par with a Series S in terms of power.I would be concerned that this means it's 10+ years out of date on release, but I'm gonna be honest you don't need graphics better than those consoles' so this isn't a huge issue.
the PS5 and Xbox whatever-it-is-now (Series X? Series S?) are totally useless in the graphics department, there's almost no improvement with them compared to PS4/XB1 imo. Certainly not enough to matter beyond autistic comparison videos or extremely nitpicky people. So just hearing "it's good enough to have some really damn good graphics" is good enough for me.
Let's just hope any successor's load speeds are faster than those two pieces of shit were lol.
