Streets of Rage 4 is a lot of fun. I liked it and had fun playing it with the kids.

You think they're going to do a surprise Smash Bros. announcement? That would not surprise me. Even a year from now I would still expect a rogue Smash announcement.

Maybe a port of an older game to switch, but I doubt Sakurai wants to spend 6 years working on the same game.
He's been working on the same game for 21 years though.

Well no I guess it hasn't been that long. Only one of those games had Board the Platforms.

Kirby Air ride is the best game ever made. Kid Icarus uprising and meteos are apparently liked by some people.

Playing some Smash Bros again for some reason. I think largely because I want to see if I can get to top 1% GSP distribution again on my main (I've been hovering at around 1.5%, about 11.61 mil).

I forgot just how much of a pain Hero can be to fight against. Random crits has to be the most terrifying and tilting thing. Cause no matter how good or bad you are, all it takes is to accidentally get hit by a crit f-smash at 50% and you're dead.

Hey. Still better than the noodly-armed mistake Min Min though.

I saw my SNES channel updating yesterday and opened it up to look at what they added. It is pretty cool! They gave us SP versions of Kirby Super Star, Kirby's Dream Land 3 and Kirby's Dream Course. Each game is at 100% completion so you can fart around and play any level you want; which is particularly great for Kirby Super Star because now you can just go in and play Meta Knight's Revenge and Milky Way Wishes at your leisure.

According to spergs I follow Bayonetta 3 got put at the top of Nintendo’s store page like it did last year when we finally got a trailer. We’re probably getting gameplay at whatever direct they’re doing next week.
Yep:

Release date incoming.
Thoughts on Mario Strikers
It'll be like all the other modern Mario sports games: it'll be the talk of the town for a few months, and then, as updates are slow to arrive, the player base will drop off. When Ninty finally updates it, everyone will have moved on, and nobody will be playing, forcing Ninty to discontinue. Sad, because Strikers was one of the best Mario sports franchises and the one that everyone clamored for to come back. Monkey's paw was in full effect, it seems. *sigh*

Thoughts on Mario Strikers or the Metal Max Xeno reborn?
Mario Strikers looks neat but I played the demo and I dunno... it was okay. I wasn't a huge fan of the controls. But I don't know what I expected. Are there any other soccer games coming out on Switch to look forward to that aren't FIFA? Captain Tsubasa was okay but needlessly complex.

Among the recently announced Switch titles that caught my interest

Publisher Arc System Works and developer Studio Tsuruhashi have announced Ground Divers!, a new mining game for Switch due out via Nintendo eShop on June 30.

Publisher Yokaze and Japanese developer Rias will release 3D action adventure game for Fox and Frog Travelers: The Demon of Adashino Island for Switch, PC, and more platforms to be confirmed, the companies announced. A release date was not announced. It will be available in English, Japanese, and other languages.
Fox and Frog Travelers: The Demon of Adashino Island is a 3D action adventure game with a Japanese-inspired atmosphere. You will play as Fox, a girl who finds herself on Adashino Island and starts traveling with Frog. Torii gates, food stall lanterns, and neon signs give light and color to the island. Something is lurking in the shadows, inching ever closer… Fox and Frog Travelers: The Demon of Adashino Island is currently under development by Rias, an illustrator and concept artist that came up with the idea for it based on one of his illustrations. The story of Fox and Frog’s long journey through the night is planned for release in a few years.

3D dungeon RPG Labyrinth of Zangetsu will launch for PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam on September 29 in Japan for 3,520 yen at retail and 3,300 yen via download, publisher Acquire and developer KaeruPanda announced. Pre-orders will open on June 20. First-print copies will include a mini soundtrack.
Labyrinth of Zangetsu is new 3D dungeon RPG by Acquire. Its gameplay systems are a return to the “roots” of hack-and-slash. It is a title that emphasizes “wa” (the Japanese-style), which is Acquire’s specialty. It depicts a “deep” world view illustrated by ink painting brush strokes. And features a “mixture of wa” sound that channels the music of Japan’s various eras, from “gagaku” (traditional Japanese music and dance) to “noh” (traditional Japanese masked dance-drama). Labyrinth of Zangetsu is developed based on these four keywords.
