Why does Nintendo refuse to share their digital sales numbers? All it does is make their sales look worse than they actually are, especially when they brag about how much of their sales are digital.
Most companies don't share numbers at all, so in that sense we are lucky to get anything.

But regardless, physical/reported sales are already very high so they don't need the boost of reporting them AND it helps keep positive relations with brick and mortar retailers.

I never got the appeal of buying so many physical games for the switch, especially if you use it portably. seems kinda inconvenient to have to carry around a lot of game cards with you, i rather just buy one game card and keep it in the switch forever and then just buy all other games digitally

Yes, only politicialspergs would see that and instantly change their opinion. I might give the book a read if i see it for a good price, i want to know how he dealt running Nintendo of America during the early 3DS and Wii U days.
I’m about three chapters into the audiobook (narrated by Reggie himself) and it’s been good so far. He talks some about race-related issues as a Haitian moving to America as a kid who would frequently visit Japan as an adult, but so far it’s always been discussed in a cultural sense rather than a political one.

Space Tail is getting ported to Switch:
The dog is a girl (boys don't like games about girl dogs) and the trailer guy sounds like a soyface and the game looks like Ori: doggo edition which just depressingly reminds me of how many great artists are wasted in this industry.
so, is Reggie still based?
Sure, why not? I thought he was a Pacific islander myself.

I think it has something to do with how the Switch doesn't have an lot of storage space if you aren't into buying an extra Micro SD or two; along with the possibility that they'll be irreplaceable in around an decade from now.

But either way, it's not like you won't be finished with whatever you have within a few months.

Oh, and it's nearly impossible to get an refund through the eShop.

I'm surprised those kind of games don't make it overseas because they seem to be a nice gift idea for a kid relative.

In other news, Shatter Remastered Deluxe, Alan Wake Remastered and F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch are coming on Switch this year.
There is also a game announcement of Fairy Fencer F : Refrain Cord which is developed by Sting (Knights in the Nightmare, Yggdra Union, etc.)

Me and my friends still lend each other games so physical copies are great. Plus it saves a ton of money when the kids decide they want a game or want to try one.
