They've already ported the prime games a bunch already, considering that the switch has a load of wii-u games, I can't imagine any type of port would require that much work since the trilogy for wii already fixed most of the issues.

But knowing that old shit is more than likely going to be tied to their online services I wouldn't hold my breath for anything old getting a proper treatment at this point.

I'd rather have them port the prime games. For the longest time i couldn't emulate those due to having a potato PC, then i kind of lost interest in playing anything from the GC.
Hope if they do a port that all 3 games are on cart and don't do that gay shit of "only x game on cart with a digital download of y and z"
They're probably waiting until Metroid Prime 4 is almost ready for release.

I remember a developer on the games saying such a port would be much harder than people expect, and gave reasons.

I don't see NGC or Wii games being tied to NSO in its current form. They'll surely put GB, GBC, GBA, and maybe even Virtual Boy up first (maybe DS if they can make it work well). They've proven they'd rather port/remaster NGC/Wii games and sell them individually or as a compilation.

If ever they were gonna do a Virtual Boy Virtual Console, they would have done it on the 3DS. I just hope they remake VB Wario Land, because at this point, that's the only way that game's ever seeing the light of day again.

You know Nintendo. If it makes too much sense they won't do it. That's why we didn't get VB on 3DS, because it would have been perfect.

They'll release them eventually in some stupid way that makes no sense, probably. Like a Virtual Boy mini lmao

They scrubbed the wii-u from memory the VB shares the same fate.

They'd be better off remaking Virtual Boy games so that people won't go blind from the horrid color scheme.

Supposedly they actually reference it comedically from time to time. They probably realize it's just more of an interesting footnote in history and a meme now, and less so a black eye on their record. They seem to feel that way about the Mario film too because they feel comfortable putting him in a movie again (albeit not live-action).

Seems it roughly takes a quarter century for Nintendo to get over their blunders, so when we're all geezers they'll be less defensive over Wii U as well.

It helps that there is more to base a Mario film around now than there was in 1993. I mean, even the Mario cartoons had to wholesale make up shit. That's why retards like Moviebob can't let go of the "They're brothers from Brooklyn" shit to this day.

Plus, Nintendo were apparently okay with the film because they didn't want to be a "translation of the game", although I wonder if that's just them trying to save face.

I had one as a kid, got it on clearance at Toys R Us.

If you play it nonstop for a half an hour, you can't see the color red for several minutes afterwards. Everything red looks sort of orange

Also, the only game worth remaking really was just Wario Land. The best way I could imagine them rereleasing VB games would be with a full remake of Wario Land VB, and then include whatever else Nintendo has the rights to as secret bonuses you could find throughout. Of course, Nintendo would never do that, but it'd be the only way to get those ancient titles to generate any kind of cash. Hell, even if a warehouse full of new-old stock of VB games were discovered and crashed their value, the only ones I'd be interested in buying now would be Teleroboxer and Nester's Funky Bowling. Maaaaaaaaaaybe 3D Tetris and Jack Bros. too, if they're dirt cheap. (Jack Bros is like a $900 cartridge right now)

Nintendo is going full retard into movies though, they have apparently upped their existing movie deals. They are going all out with promoting their core franchises and it seems will just be sticking to those though. Stuff like Xenoblade is not considered a core franchise while stuff like Splatoon is.

They honestly have not promoted mario this hard since the 1980's when he was first introduced. It's certainly going to be interesting to see where this goes.

Nintendo is going full retard into movies by making one movie. They are going all out with promoting their core franchises. Stuff like Xenoblade (which Nintendo does not make) is not considered a core franchise while stuff like Splatoon (which Nintendo does make) is a core franchise.

Are you off your meds, bro?

I'm expecting Metroid Prime Trilogy to get a re-release/announcement sooner rather than later (relative to the release of news surrounding Metroid Prime 4). The three games take a reasonable amount of time to complete and Nintendo will want people to have actually played these games before Metroid Prime 4. Which is why I do not see a release of Trilogy occurring close to the release of Metroid Prime 4. That wouldn't make sense.
