RE Majora's Mask 3DS: as someone who didn't play it when it was new the new baby game options from the remaster like the Reverse Song of Time and being able to save mid cycle were a godsend for making the game more accessible. Also modern dual stick camera controls. I do think there should have been an accurate remake mode that disabled these though, that's not too much to ask. Understand why it's so controversial after OoT 3D ended up the best way to play the game.
I was hoping for ports of OoT 3D and Majora's Mask 3D for the Zelda 35th anniversary, maybe paired with the emulated N64 versions, but instead we got an underwhelming handheld with a couple of NES and Gameboy games instead. Oh well, I have Citra.
RE Mario 64: there really needs to be a definitive remake of the game. The original still is one of the best controlling platformers to this day, but the camera is terrible even for the time. Meanwhile the DS remake has 4 characters to play as (but you can still just play as Mario mostly), controllable camera, a camera center button, more and better stars to collect, and everything uses 3D models. But then the controls are absolutely terrible, either having to use the touchscreen as an analog stick or weird interpolated D-Pad controls. It joins Majora's Mask and a bunch of older Final Fantasy games where there's not an outright best version of the game to play.
