It's another "30/30 Switch games" for the fourth time this year, where previously a 30/30 for a single platform only happened once in the late 80's in the Famitsu charts (it was the NES/Famicom). Lot of third-parties also are charting on Switch such as the Record of Lodoss War game or Deathsmiles (which was only available on Xbox360 as a console release over there before) last week.
Obviously rabid "weeb" Sony fanboys are extremely upset and continue to throw every excuse possible under the sun but they only have to blame themselves, the writing was already on the wall for a long time. Their fanaticism over a game company brand is sure a strange thing and I'd argue they're more annoying and mentally ill than nintendo fanboys by a large margin, at least the latter are like dumb and funny animals behind closed bars in a zoo.
It's not exactly a good thing that Nintendo comes to have a monopoly in the japanese console market now (for the sake of competition and so that new anti-consumer bullshit don't eventually come to fruition) but SIE should be blamed firstmost for breaking the balance after the retarded decisions that alienated the nipponese.
It's a decent family party game to play together irl, with one neat feature is that each player can select their own starting difficulty for the minigames (from beginner to super expert). The online is a joke however since it's exclusively ghost-data oriented. At least Pokemon has an excuse, but Big Brain Academy?
Nintendo of Japan advertises games with the famous comedian duo Arino (who is also known for starring in Game Center CX, a japanese TV show dedicated to retro gaming, as the 会長 for over 15 years) and Hamaguchi, so it helps games, including indies, gaining notoriety and popularity among the general populace. Not to mention seasonal TV ads.
