N64 will run on O3DS, but it ain’t friendly lol, I get 20 frames max and usually less depending upon what I’m playing :spudking:

I think if Nintendo were to go back to trying Dual Screens. I think they would possibly end up letting the user use their phone and allow it to connect to whatever this new console would be and allow the player to use the phones touch screen to control the game. I think it would be a interesting idea if they could manage to pull it off.
Horrible idea. It would depend on wifi which isn't always stable. People would complain about Nintendo going mobile.

The game came out and was absolutely panned and bombed hard even for a Wii U game, selling under a million units.
It had to have bombed harder than that, Shiggy of all people being kicked up stairs like Yu Suzuki was unthinkable until that disaster struck. I'm sure there were board room meetings addressing the necessity of training the next generation over the years, but ending the wii u era on a wet fart of a game but has really shaken up the company.

I've been buying some classic games. I'm currently using LukieGames & EBay. Does anyone have any other suggestions??

Wikipedia says it sold under 500,000 so if anything saying under 1,000,000 was probably being generous. Star Fox Zero most likely only sold 350,000-450,000 copies.

This was supposed to be a major Nintendo release. Let that sink in.

SFZ was such a bad idea at every level. Just the fact it was another reboot is crazy.
Has there ever been a statement as to why star fox gets rebooted so much? It has to be the most number of times for games with stories.

Every branch in every Star Fox game kicks off an alternate timeline

SDUC cards are available in the following capacities 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128TB
>128TB NVMe storage in SD form factor
Excuse me WHAT. Never heard about it and I just have so many fucking questions. How durable is it, how much do the cards cost, how much does the hardware that uses them costs, is it being used in something besides high end cameras right now etc
Update on the Yuzu shitshow. Turns out we’ve got our culprit. Someone mad butthurt about Yuzu dropping Windows 7 support sent emails to NOA out of spite
At this point any Windows 7 users left are completely delusional.
Of course they are. They'll bitch and moan about Windows 10/11 being spyware while still staying on a closed source OS from the same company that's also abandoned. You just know they haven't done anything to verify their Win7 install isn't phoning home and are still living off the "new Windows" panic of 2015 when everyone declared 10 to be the devil and 7 to be the best. Let them rot in the sea of their own shit.
Best I can say is that third party downloads exist to largely unfuck the UX.
This was a thing since forever, I've been ricing Windows since WinXP. There is no good install and go solution anymore, it's either Windows 11 and unfucking the UI to your liking, or Linux and dealing with Linux. Or get locked into Apple's ecosystem and go with macOS. Choose your poison.
In this case, pirating LTSC is your duty.
People who believe that LTSC is a magic solution are the same level of delusional as people who believe that Win7 is best and 10/11 is spyware. Even if you go with Win10 LTSC 2021 IoT which is supported until 2032, you will run into some sort of incompatibilities because you'll be running kernel 19044.1288 when some software will rely on a Win11 kernel that's 22000 and up.

LTSC IoT is specifically meant for shit like self-checkout cash registers and McDonalds kiosks and nothing more, not for daily driving it like a consumer OS. If you spent all the time bitching and moaning about how bad Win10/11 is to just learn how to unfuck it you'd be better off. You do it once and then you forget you're running teh ebil Win10/11 Pro.

Or, you know, stay on Win7/10 LTSC until the end of time, just don't get pissy when people laugh at the issues you cause for yourself by your stubbornness.

I don’t think they know where to take the IP. It doesn’t help that any shakeup seems to be controversial. I remember the GC titles (primarily Adventures) being hated for not being Star Fox or people not liking characters like Krystal. The DS entry also was not received that well. It is a series that seems to only be loved specifically for 64, thus it just keeps wrapping back to 64, which in and of itself is upgraded SNES but with Star Wolf.

Shiggy had a lot more issues than just Star Fox. I think Star Fox was just the thing that broke the camels back. The Mario series in general suffered through that era, especially Paper Mario due to Shiggy seemingly wanting it to be standardized. I know he fought with the new producer who wanted the series to get a bit more cinematic and have more story like Galaxy. There is a reason Galaxy and Odyssey have a much grander feel than 3D World.

Everyone loved Star Fox 2. If they had just released that and followed up on it, then the series would have been fine. The problem is that every game since 64 has always had some form of asterisk that left people somewhat wanting.

I think Shiggy was just kind of a pain in the U era. He is arguably responsible for holding Mario and Zelda back, along with Pikmin and Star Fox.
At the end of the day, Miyamoto is just old and stuck in his ways. He has a certain way he wants to do things, and if he can't figure out a way to innovate a series, it either stagnates (Mario), he forces an "innovation" (Star Fox), or he just straight up abandons it and doesn't want to touch it (F-Zero). Nintendo has needed new blood, both in its development staff and leadership, for a long, long time.

If only Paper Mario fans would have listened to me and just stopped buying the games they hate. Maybe Shiggy would have been pulled back earlier and we would have gotten a decent Star Fox for the Wii U.

Origami King is a step in the right direction and honestly a fairly decent game, but we're not quite back to the old standards yet. Hopefully this remake of TTYD is a sign of things being worked on in the background.

Miyamoto is right, Pikmin 2 is shit.

However, Pikmin games don't sell. It's a shame, but oh well. He was really lucky to have great vision in the 80s and 90s but he really was out of touch 20 years ago.

It's OK since 2015 he's not really been involved with strategic direction. His recent efforts have seemingly been in Univeral Studios Japan Super Nintendo World plus the clones in other gay counties.

I hated every single moment of that game. Horrendous battle system, the obnoxious bob-omb partner that they expected you to feel sorry for, the villain's braindead motivation for evil, Olivia not shutting up, unfunny jokes, the list goes on.

It's just one of those things that wasn't really meant to go beyond an certain point, in a way.

I've played through most of it, an while ago. I found it to be kind of stale, after the second or third streamer. For some reason, I was under the impression that it was written by zoomers as soon as the tutorials ended.

It is certainly quirkier than the first couple games, writing-wise.
