You should consider checking with Nintendo about a replacement unit/battery if you are still within the warranty period. Otherwise you need to replace that battery; a bulge in your battery is very bad. Doing the replacement is very easy as long as you are certain you've got the correct screwdriver.
Why do some of you only half read even short posts? I already said I got the battery replaced.

We're all a little retarded here son. It's a Nintendo thread.
Quite.
speaking of retarded rambling, let's talk 'bout the Peach game, because that one, for some reason, intrigued me the most out of everything shown.
1. is it a 2.5D platformer? a RPG?
2. I'm surprised they're bringing in a companion character at all, you'd think, with the movie portraying her (however mildly) as a STRONK INDEPENDENT GIRLBOSS WHO DON'T NEED NO MAN, they'd lean a little more into that.
3. A heavy theatre motif, much like Mario 3 and Paper Mario. Hmmmmmmm.

who tf are these Rudolph-ass niggers?
5. there's a transformation mechanic?

I'm with Nintendo themselves on this one....WHAT ON EARTH IS HAPPENING?!

almost certain that was strictly an Illumination addition lol, every single other appearance Peach has made in the history of the franchise has had her acting differently to the movie
I'm more surprised that they brought in a companion character after their weird refusal to do so for Paper Mario after TTYD

Literally what it sounds like. The battery bulging outwards and swelling. It can happen with rechargeable batteries over time and through continuous usage.

Something something, natural byproduct of how lithium ion batteries generate internal gasses and create internal pressure over time as the battery experiences constant charging and discharging.
DIdn't it warp the back of your Switch? That happened with a laptop of mine and the entire bottom is permanently bulged out.

Very slightly. I don't think I would've noticed it if it weren't for the fact that my Switch suddenly stopped charging one day and I noticed the top edge of the case near the power button was starting to get pulled outwards.

I do believe there's still some remnant "stretch marks" on the back of the case, but it didn't cause a permanent bulge on the case thankfully.

It's a dress-up game with Super Mario 3D World mechanics that coomers will play I guess.

Literally the worst issue my Switch had was battery bulge from having it plugged into its dock at all times and that was easily remedied by taking it to a local electronics repair shop and having the battery replaced. Now I just make sure to leave it off the dock unless I intend to play something, and I immediately take it off and power it off when I'm done.
This is exactly what I did with my Switch.

It seems like no matter what you do the thing will eventually break. And mind you, I treat my consoles like they're newborn babies and won't even risk anything I think could damage them.

Looking over the Nintendo of America YouTube channel I found this Star Ocean game that mixes 2D sprite based characters with a 3D game world. I will have to get this as well. I also heard there will be a physical release. Hopefully it's not some gay limited type of thing that Square Enix did with the pixel remasters of the old FF games. That was really annoying.

Also found out the Arkham games are getting Switch ports. Yes even Arkham Knight. I don't know how they plan to pull it off because Arkham Knight was pretty good looking and demanding game back in 2015. Even without the shit PC port it was still pretty hardware demanding. The Switch is basically a handheld slightly overclocked 360. I will wait to see what it's like before I buy it. Hopefully it's a physical release as well. I don't know how they will cram 3 games on a Switch cart that has about 32-64GB of memory on it. Arkham Knight alone is about 55GB. I already have them on PC. But I would like to play them on the Switch.

Looks like my Switch is going to keep me broke. lol

Literally just look into Switch emulators and pirate the games if it would burn a hole in your wallet otherwise.

Then don‘t buy video games, and focus on budgeting your income and spending wisely until you are financially stable enough to where consooming a stupid fucking Batman game doesn‘t makes you broke like an utter retard.
I think you need to learn to not take stuff so literally. I know it's hard for people with certain afflictions. The kind of afflictions that keep you from being able to do people stuff. Like sarcasm humor and so on.

To the 1 person who bothered to pay the $60 for the 1+2 Pikmin port, has anyone noticed the music sounds a bit off?
Take note of the Oboe instrument playing at 3:10 here

Compared to what it sounded like on GC 1:07

I don't want to bug you too much, but I will use you as a minor example. Nintendo sends out detailed reminders about how to do system transfers via the system's news channel as well as through email every time a Switch variant (hardware or simply color/art) comes out. It is not hidden knowledge.
Yeah, I actually read one of those the last time I had to replace a console. The problem is.... all the methods I saw either assume A) you have a working Switch (and the entire problem I have is that its battery is drained and I have no way to charge it) or else B) hope you have it backed up... and I never learned the online version of the account transfer method.

I'm thinking of just mailing it in to Nintendo, but I've been warned Nintendo doesn't repair the unit, they just give you a replacement, and that in cases like mine they might not bother to transfer account details.... which would mean I'd need to re-buy every game I've purchased and wouldn't that suck.

That could be lies from a troll, of course, but it wouldn't shock me.

.............................

I used to own the Star Ocean games on PSP, and I had the same problem another Kiwi did--almost immediately First Departure becomes just meandering, and some aspects immediately made me feel like it was designed with strategy guides in mind. I didn't even get to Second Evolution.

In fact those PSP versions were what made me realize I basically didn't like JRPGs anymore. Pretty sure at some point I did a post about game genres that suck now and most of my ranting was aimed at JRPGs.

That Super Mario RPG remake looks awesome though, and that game was from before the genre went totally insane. My biggest worry is that they'll add some sort of new gameplay mechanic that just fucks everything up.
