Maybe, because Nintendo only releases a major title every two months or so, the only game Nintendo users have to talk about right now is the new Kirby game. Honestly, the game's presentation and gameplay looks obviously targeted to very young kids or parents who want to play with their children. I don't think it's worth it, at least full price.

Kirby games have always been easy on the first run with the post-game content being where the difficulty shoots up. With the exception of most of the GBA and DS era games, the "extra game" mode was brought back for Kirby's RTD with entries after it letting you play the game as a different character with harder bosses or unlock the "True Arena" after beating the original (complete with an alternate final boss fight).
 
You guys are really over exaggerating Kirby's "hard modes"...

I'm not even shitting on Kirby. They are good games that have their place. But they are *clearly* games aimed at a younger audience and I just can't justify buying one of them at full price when it's basically just for nostalgias sake at this point. It'd probably be a lot different if I had kids or nephews/nieces to play with though.

The Great Cave Offensive is still the best Kirby game. Not mind-numbingly easy, just long enough to not get stale, lots of great areas. I played a bit of the new Switch one and it is indeed the standard trivial kids Kirby game. Cute, lots of great transformations, but not a challenge at all.

Totally for kids or parents and kids.
 
Kirby will always fill in that niche for those who are new to platformers. The ones that I had were consistently easier than most of the Mario games... Until you factor in the bosses.
