Not everything has to be on Switch though.

And I'd rather have the console be an "underpowered piece of shit" setting a precedent in the industry if it means games as a whole have much less bloated budgets, which alternatively allows in consequence more fun experimentation and taking more risks. HD game development starting at the 7th gen purged too many game studios (especially on the japanese side of the industry) and this really did show on the 8th gen.
And that's why I have interest in other systems. To get the games that aren't on Switch. I like the Switch exclusives, but I'm not going to be a Switch loyalist when they leave out so many games.

My point was that better hardware (and bigger dev budgets) doesn't necessarily make games better, and I personally found better game libraries out of handhelds (DS, PSP, 3DS, Vita) compared to the next-gen home consoles they were competing against, despite the massive disparity in power between the two categories.

Obviously having at least another game system besides your main one is a smart choice. In my own case it's Switch and PC, which both cover pretty much everything I like.

That's not the case. Lots of big budget games are fun, and Nintendo lacks most of them. I have no idea why Nintendo fans treat it as a "feature" when Nintendo Switch gets late ports and missing games. It just makes a worse console.
Ok? Anyone loyal to a game console is retarded, so congrats on having an IQ above 50 I guess.
Most of the people in this thread are like this, and I just don't understand why. They have to cope instead of wanting a better console.

That is because you are misinterpreting the point. Probably intentionally because you are a fag.

The fans are happy to get those games. But they are showing up for Nintendo's games, which are consistently great and better than most others.

Well, it doesn't really help that Nintendo isn't churning out games like they used to, plus a lot of their stuff was watered down in recent years.
Nintendo always goes through a cycle of churning out games for a few years after a console's release, and that always slows down by about year 3. Even the Wii, as popular as that was, had Xenoblade and not much else past late '09.

And yet, by total coincidence, the COVID lockdown just so happened to start in March 2020, right when the Switch was entering its third year, and Animal Crossing New Horizons had just launched. The Switch actually got pretty hard to find for most of the year, seeing as though it was the newest console on the market, and the only portable left to boot. Nintendo won't have to do shit for a loooooooong while.

You must be new to the Nintendo Fanbase if you aren't aware of how far their brand loyalty goes.
Microsoft and Sony are the same, so is PC.

Great. But this is basically why you should branch out to all, not just with Nintendo. All 3 consoles have incredible exclusives that come in wildly different flavors from Nintendo’s kid friendly titles to Microsoft’s more hardcore shooters, to the ackward teen years Sony seems to be in. They all have great exclusives worth playing. For me, I find Nintendo and Sony to most fit my interests, so I naturally move towards them.

They are churning them out at the same rate as previous consoles from them. They are also impressive in that they have quite a few exclusives a year while the other two consoles are typically getting by on 3rd party nowadays.
This E3 better be the tits and the ass. Metroid and Zelda or else.
I am going to say that they kinda drop the ball. I am predicting a few titles.
I will say that the presentation will be focused on 3D Kirby, the MK team (so either MK9 or ARMS 2), Splatoon 3, Smash DLC, SMTV, and probably one more title (most likely Mario + Rabbids 2). Zelda may be shown but delayed till 2022, and Metroid Prime 4 and Bayonetta 3 will be absent.

No need to cope when I have a PC along with the Switch.

Zelda is going to be a Switch pro launch title. Enjoy getting more shit fagged up by scalpers. Considering that they're now saying 2022 is still going to be bad for electronics, be prepared for a long fucking wait for anything major unless you want to pay a grand for a new console.

Personally I've been going back to the last gen systems and picking up weird shit before youtube men cause the prices to spike for a few things.

Playstation 3 prices kinda dipped down to normal after the store closing was recanted. But they're still much higher than they were last year. There's a whole boatload of ignored Switch and PS4 stuff that's currently selling for 20 bucks on Amazon and they're all going to be similar situations to how Fragile Dreams was for the Wii I think(where it was dirt cheap and common for a long ass time then suddenly youtube video happened and now it's 500 bucks).

All I really want is more tracks for Mario Kart 8. Not Mario Kart 9. More for 8, which is a great game. And still a best seller.

This annoys me so much. Anyone remember when Nintendo claimed in 2018 that MK8 would get more content? Shortly after they put in the BOTW Link costume then dipped. What happened?

Personally, I would rather have an MK9 though. MK8 felt very slow. I miss the jankiness of Wii and prior titles that made races a lot more interesting. I hope they can remove the training wheels a bit for the next MK and maybe try to compete with the faster kart racers such as Sonic.

I do remember the additional content they promised us. And I expect it.

Everything else you said is wrong though. Mario Kart 8 is the best one besides Mario Kart DS. Double-Dash and Wii are overrated but still fun. If 8 seems slow, the problem must be you. You suck. How could you let your parents down like this?

Also compete with a Sonic kart racer? LOL you're high. Stop it. Disappointed parents.

>Mario Kart 8 somehow is the best
>can't disable the timer in battle mode
>Clearly lacks Blockfort or any viable successor to Blockfort

To reiterate:
Battle Mode in Kart is the most overrated pile of shit in gaming. It is trash, has always been trash and will continue to be trash. The fake outcry a couple years ago was a clinic in masturbatory behavior put on by people that have no hope of achieving anything worthwhile in their lives.

Race the karts, faggots.
Battle mode is trash, has always been trash and will continue to be trash.

To reiterate:

God you're one of those people who only eat the filling of the Oreos and then leaves the cookie, failing to understand that one is incomplete without the other. The Yin and Yang must be kept in equilibrium. You cannot just take what you wish and leave the remains.
