I found the absolutely most ignorant post yesterday that I believe it might have been bait, saying that Link was a trans icon because of his Androgyny and that because he looks like a twink that means he is non-binary.

Why is it that troon and troon lovers always end up being the most sexist people?
Oh, that nonsense, again. Did they mention the crossdressing arc in the last Zelda game or those outfits from Tri-Force Heroes?

but sometimes their policies are a little questionable
That's putting it lightly

Fans: "We're creating this game that is filled with love and fun that shows respect for the original creations while building upon it with new/revamped features"
Nintendo: "CEASE AND DESIST! SUED TO FUCKING OBLIVION!!!"

Thats the least objectionable thing they do. Crushing so-called "fan" games that use your IP is good and should warm everyone's hearts.

Yeah, it is. This is why most gamers are making successors to titles that Nintendo doesn't care anymore. Fans do what Nintdont.

This happened with a Xenoblade 3 character apparently too.

There's a female character but in the western release she has they/them pronouns and trannies are trying to say she is gender neutral in the Japanese version too but that's a complete lie
Well I gotta give credit to the writers in this instance because I played like 100 hours of that game and didn't notice any of that. I guess they put it in there so the people who obsess over gender politics 24/7 can feel good about some throwaway dialogue? It's obnoxious and disrespectful when that stuff gets altered in localization though. You hear endless sperging about how Disney removes stuff in the middle east...so why is it okay to change artistic vision over here? I mean, I know why, but it's still fucking dumb.

Glad you didn't lol, the character is mandatory to the story around Chapter 4. TBF the dialogue could very well be interpreted as the main party referring to the colony as a whole and not just the character.

Nintendo has been making tranny characters for 3 decades now, including birdo, that weird NPC in Paper Mario and almost everyone in animal crossing. But sure, this is the "first" time.
We have to increasingly get more specific firsts. NINTENDO'S FIRST BLACK LEFT-HANDED NON-AUTISTIC CIS ELETROGENDER CHARACTER! IT"S HISTORIC.

To play devil's advocate, that's the fanbase's fault at this point.

We all known how draconian Nintendo is when it comes to copyright, so why are the fans subjecting themselves to that old song and dance when they could be putting their talents into making spiritual successors with their own original assets?

Cause original assests are hard. It's better to risk it and then get sympathy asspats and MEDIA INTERVIEWS

Vivian in Paper Mario is actually just a 男の子 (otokonoko - can be written as 男の娘 too) aka an effeminate man or, like we used to call back in the day for the fun, a trap.
And I doubt Nintendo of Japan ever saw Birdo (or Catherine in nippon) anywhere beyond "what a funny weird alien creature haha"

It gets kinda tiring to see american trannies trying to shove current-year social politics for every relevant trope in japanese media (男装の麗人, 男の娘 , ボク少女, 女体化, etc.) while also claiming the rest is 'sexist' and 'problematic' whenever it is convenient for them to justify their irl debauchery or take a jab at something not conforming to their mass delusions.

Because they really want they're own version of "Bing Bing Wahoo!" and the guy who made Tear Ring Saga, an spiritual successor to Fire Emblem, initially named somewhere along the lines of " Emblem Saga."
