Oh, well in that case, calling it terrible is totally justified.
I mean like, really terrible. I swear, it's like they just had karaoke night at the office and captured those vocals. They're worse than I remember:

YouTube didn't even have a direct capture of Whip It, which is probably for the best.

They're all uninspired covers. Of course Nintendo wasn't about to cough up big boy bux for proper licenses.

I guess it was to be expected, the Donkey Konga series were little more than glorified tech demos made only to sell the DK bongos. Yeah i have no proof, but nobody can deny they look and feel that way compared to every other rhythm from the time.

That's pretty clever.

Donkey Konga, oh boy. That was a terrible, terrible rhythm game, released right as rhythm games were just starting to get a foothold outside of Japan. Look at this terrible setlist, and think about how you had to clap along, because the bongos have a microphone.

Donkey Kong giving a creepy, very direct rape stare on the official artwork probably didn't help, either:

Come to think of it, I think Donkey Konga put me off of pretty much everything Donkey Kong going forward. I really liked the Donkey Kong Country games, but I didn't even bother checking out Returns or Tropical Sneeds.
They're objectively good platformers, but I'm unable to view them as anything but mediocre due to the Rare trilogy being so much better. They have fun multiplayer, that was an improvement over Rare's, and the only one.

Yeah, Donkey Konga was one of the worst from the golden age of rhythm games. Even cheap-ass Konami had a good assortment of in-house musicians and clever cross-promotions with Toshiba-EMI to get decent covers. It's weird to think that there was a point in time when Nintendo churned out some of the worst shit while Konami were kings (of a specific genre), but, that happened, albeit in a "in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king" sort of way.

In which one of them (U1-ASAMi) worked on one of the better music games for Nintendo

You lot take shitposting too seriously, I still think if Nintendo weren't copyright cucks they could be much more successful.

I tried some of the main games of the switch and I prefer Super mario galaxy 1 + 2 on my wii over odyssey every day of the week.
So that’s how it is
This is how you treat me
Envy. That’s why you have.
Anger that your life just sucks.
Must hurt a lot.

Doing the best you can still losing.
Even if it was better you’d still be a joke
Call someone you care about for a change
Kinda sad that you haven’t yet.

Don't look at any game forum about Xenoblade because the majority are bitching about the designs. Is it sexist? Is it not? What about equal opportunity fanservice? The fundoshi in X for example...
There is a bath scene of two men. Oh no protect the str8's.

And then they argue over how inappropriate or unrealistic Pyra and Dahlia are.

Pyra and Dahlia are God’s gift to actual gamers who don’t care for fan service and just want entertaining characters. Both them and the upcoming Bayonetta are the main reason why those real gamers still exist.

I’m just waiting for the gameplay at this point.

Come to think of it, I'm kinda surprised Nintendo never did some kinda Donkey Kong compilation, with all the assorted DK games they don't really know what to do with. Like just a compilation with Donkey Kong '94, and the Mario vs. Donkey Kong games, and other random titles they have just gathering dust. Call it Donkey Kong's Birthday Bash, release it on his 40th anniversary, it'll be great

...oh wait, Donkey Kong just turned 41. Well, congrats to Donkey Kong for not trooning out and joining the 41%

Troony Kong.

He had a long rant about the decline of DK during the GC and Wii and how Miyamoto and Nintendo made him into their vision of the character, which is nothing more than stupid monkey. It seems that DK went from the being cool in Country to a jack ass once Nintendo took him back.
Disagree. DK was always a slightly goofy character even under rare's control. He mostly acts like typical funny animal character and that cringy as hell 3D cartoon was made during their era. If anything the Nintendo games put way more emphasis in DK's power and make him look way more badass. So this seems like a made up problem to keep pushing the zoomer anti-Miyamoto sentiment.

I can see where the zoomers are getting the idea from, they've probably most likely only played (or watched lets plays of) the Country games, while they regard the spinoffs and the cartoon as weird oddities they only occasionally glance at that don't stay true to whatever over analyzed vision they've gotten from the funny monkey games. Because we know zoomers love to over analyze the most mundane shit in any video game.

Add on the occasional ones that grew up with the SNES games and you have a weird mix of zoomers and millenials. The Miyamoto autism is probably there too, but that's way more prevalent with the Paper Mario fans after whatever the hell happened with Sticker Star.
