Well, they've finally built that museum
I was amazed at how little they gave a shit when they put this together. It really seems like they just dug up whatever they had laying around in a warehouse and threw shit on top of each other, then called it a "museum". That along with the interactive games shows this is just a playground for manchildren and kids, and a cash grab aimed at japanese normies (and possibly foreigner tendies) so they can...play NES roms on oversized controllers and look at cardboard boxes...riveting. Collectorfags who have game walls full of plastic have more grounds to call their hoarder homes a museum than Nintendo does with this pathetic showing.

Meanwhile in the comments you have cucksumer retards crying tears of joy from slurping corporate cock and planning trips to Japan just to play with this slop.

It never ceases to amaze me how little self-awareness tendies have:

Compare this to how Sony of Japan showcased their product history. Everything neatly organized, info signs about each product, multiple floors in the building were set up for the event, much better presentation overall. They show pretty much everything from the company's history, the good and the bad. It's almost like some people working there were proud of their legacy and achievements.

The video claims that they have a wall full of pre-gaming stuff, it just doesn't go through and show everything.

According to the video, it's either an actual warehouse that they've used back in the day or it's the site of one.

But the entire thing is more of an playground that's asking to be vandalized once the international tourists starts rolling in

I'm noticing a distinct trend of there being more posts bitching about nintendo itself in this thread rather than discussing nintendo fanboys, despite the thread title.

Switch is on its 7th year, its successor hasn't been announced, and there's hardly anything in the pipeline. Nintendo always gets dull near the end of a console's lifespan, so there's just not much for the consoomers to get excited over at the moment. They've pretty much just got Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom to discuss. Tune back in when the SWITCH ATTACH gets announced.

Wait, didn't he used to shit on Elden Ring? lmao
Yes, but then he livestreamed himself playing it for seven hours (obviously loving it) and got filtered by the Leonine Misbegotten fight. He shat on the game because it's the hot chick ignoring his preferred platform.

He went on to play Ninja Gaiden to prove he can play difficult games, it's just that Elden Ring is poorly made — oh, and he wants it on the Switch still.

As someone who has recently been playing both Dying Light and Kingdom Come Deliverance on the Switch, they're impressive ports on their own right but they still show obvious graphical concessions when it comes to draw distance and the limited bandwidth to load up parts of the open-world (resulting in the occasional micro-freeze at certain parts). To show an example I recorded:

Something like Elden Ring is gonna be above the console's capabilities without clear downgrades, nevermind that devs won't go above the 16GB cartridge for print cost efficiency. I safely assume the upcoming successor will make things smoother for developers without relying on tricks to make their ports run, but in the meantime fags just need to be patient.

Also he mentioned Ace Combat 7 somehow taking 5 years to come out on the Switch except the port project started after the surveys in 2022 according to the Famitsu interview, initially as a small team to test out if the console was able to run the game without downgrades on graphics + the weather effects as well as maintaining a correct framerate before it was fully approved.

The Japanese game industry isn't some kind of monolith like these people similar to this guy are thinking. Playstation was starting to show its cracks shortly after the californian branch of SIE began its political crusade against the Japanese market, but many Japanese third-parties still believed that the brand would remain their turf at this time. It took the absolute disaster of the PS5 to see many of them shifting their focus on Switch and the growing PC market in Japan. And I don't doubt some are waiting for the Switch 2 to be finally revealed before they could show their projects.

Things simply take time to adjust.

It's on eBay for $30 USD if you just wanna sell it. I don't know if Club Nintendo stuff really goes up in value, since I never got anything.
Only some of the stuff does. Ever since Club Nintendo became My Nintendo and specifically shifted to the new website, the general value of the items has been low. Before that when it was still Club Nintendo and after they had developed their online system, that stuff has increased in value much more. Nintendo released a lot of neat acrylic statues during that period. Scalpers totally murdered this system though and that is why we now have the My Nintendo system with lesser rewards.

The early 2000s back at the start of the modern era were cool and had most of the best rewards. This is when you could get awesome stuff like soundtracks and actual game content that was goofy and fun.

Before that there was a Club Nintendo but I never knew of any rewards system. All I ever got was a identification card in the mail and I can't remember if that was related to Nintendo Power or not.

Might not actually last longer than an year or two, all things considered
I hope it lasts long enough, they clearly put some effort into things in a way that's pretty novel and interesting in terms of museum exhibits. I like the fact they have displays showcasing older nintendo shit that's interactable and set up like a house's living room from the 60s. Most places would just put an empty booth and MAYBE some neon lights. The projector screen TVs reminds me of a limited time exhibition on video game history that was one of the last big limited time museum things I went to check out before lockdown era, hard to believe that one was like 6 or 7 years back now jesus fuck. Honestly this seems like a more elaborate form of that which i don't really have any complaints with.

Nintendo Power sent out booklets you could buy merch from. All I ever convinced my parents to get was a Zelda CD.

Sorry for lack of receipts, but it's discord randos.

I'm disgusted by Nintendo fans sometimes. After all the complaining about Nintendo going after emulators and rom sites, all that is immediately forgiven and forgotten because "F-Zero 99 is going to have some of the satellite view tracks!". Nintendo could send lawyers to shoot their dog, but it'd be forgiven if they add a new dungeon to Link to the Past or some shit.
