The games are not bad but people expected performance on par with emulators that have been developed for decades when data miners raped the files they discovered Nintendo did their own emulator (Hovercraft) from scratch, stick a vulcan plugin for it and every game run with shitload of hacks to make them workImagine paying any sort of money for the worst version of certain n64 games then going out of your wat to defend it. Sounds good? Emulation has been mastered for well over a decade now nintendo come on.
F-zero fans: fuck them they got captain falcon on smash thats enough for the consoomersView attachment 2665638

What is the first guy even complaining about? I am sure there is a legitimate complaint, even if it ends up being the user's fault like the second tweet is maybe suggesting. But these still images of a video explain nothing and I hate you for doing this to me.![]()

Wow, Nintendo had some poorly paid intern write "pikmin 20 years" in a post in an area of Youtube people barely even look at. These people will really praise Nintendo for absolutely the barest of effort put towards their favorite franchises.View attachment 2665638

As long as people get their daily dose of "BING, BING! WAHOO!" things will never change. After all, if it ain't broke, then why change it?I hope Nintendo realizes they fuck up so hard on the Online pass that they will have to concede better stuff to regain support. A successful Nintendo is a lazy Nintendo that stops caring to pleases its customers.
They already released new joycons that don't fix the main issue, they released an upgrade that's not really all that much of an upgrade, and people are pre-ordering the Pokemon Remakes by the droves to own the haters who say it looks like a budget game with babies. Not only that but they're promoting the mario movie which will likely drive up sales.I hope Nintendo realizes they fuck up so hard on the Online pass that they will have to concede better stuff to regain support. This is typical with Nintendo's online since it's P2P rather than rollback or whatever. I've had matches in Smash that were basically a series of screenshots and then a bunch that were basically smooth as butter, all on wifi too. I'm willing to bet the vast majority of people who use online with their Switch don't use a wired connection.![]()

Some effects like the fog and reflections on the water that were in the N64 original are gone in the new version. This is probably because the N64 could do environment mapping at a harware level and it's not properly implemented in whatever emulator Nintendo Online is using. This wasn't even the case for the emulated version on the Wii. It's quite funny. They just slapped it together and people still bought it because they just hoover up everything Nintendo shits out. What is the first guy even complaining about? I really don't understand why Nintendo doesn't just buy up the emulator guys and their software. I guess since most of it these days is open source that isn't as viable but seriously it would only benefit them. Some effects like the fog and reflections on the water that were in the N64 original are gone in the new version. The rest of the thread should have shown that Nintendo is backwards. They already made a good emulator in the past on the Wii, yet they managed to drop the ball when it comes to making one on the Switch.I really don't understand why Nintendo doesn't just buy up the emulator guys and their software. Even Sony did it, i mean PCSX rearm was in the Mini, granted it was saw as a shitty move but no one would have complain if they did their own fork of MUPEN, definitely better than start from scratchI really don't understand why Nintendo doesn't just buy up the emulator guys and their software. They don't even need to buy it. Project 64 is open source.I really don't understand why Nintendo doesn't just buy up the emulator guys and their software. I guess since most of it these days is open source that isn't as viable but seriously it would only benefit them.
The be fair to Nintendo, Gamecube, Wii and Wii U all used the same Power PC architecture, so porting Gamecube and Wii games to Wii U was a joke. Even the online home brew community ports GC and Wii games to Wii U.I cant believe that the hd versions of twilight princess and wind waker are still not on switch, I doubt it would be to hard to port them

That being said, I can't imagine it'd be any harder than porting any of the other Wii U games they've brought to Switch already.
