I saved my money by having only $500 in my checking account and saved everything else when paycheck hit. Then I get asked by people older than me, completely baffled, how I have so much money now.

Air Force was getting bad a few years back as well IMO. Less dumb asses and more retarded children. Fucking around underage drinking and partying, not thinking about life after the military so just slow rolling their career w/ no education being done. Hoping on the base bicycle until some unlucky retard marries her. Thinking that their 1 1/2 year relationship/marriage can handle a 12 month stint in Korea, etc. The kind of shit you see in the military, even the Air force really changes your opinion on how shitty people are and how meaningless most of these pillars of community and society are if they're aren't real incentives behind them.

I just moved into my first apartment and I realized that I spent upwards of $100+ on food per week. It was a wake up call.

Pulled the ejection handle and got out right before ISIS came on the scene. Something changed big time, alot of theories and some confirmations. The internal rot that occurs in a fighting force was starting to show I guess, all the way to the Pentagon.

Dumb fucks where hooking up in basic, "dating" in bootcamp (FUCKING LOL) getting married right before shipping off.
No one mentioned divorce in the military, last I heard it was 55% probably much higher now, which I beat. So not only is Pvt/Amn Snuffy paying child support, he is paying for Sgt. Jody's clandestine offspring too. Which is cuckoo! Can confirm this in the wild too.

Hey, but what happens on deployment, stays on deployment. Amirite!?

If I had to say where it comes from, it's two things:

1. Mistrust of government. A very white American sentiment. Mostly because it's correct, the government hates you.

2. Not wanting to be labeled white trash. For every person that needs it, everyone knows at least someone that is just leeching off the system and not working. There's a lot of them here on the Farms if you need examples. Who wants to be known as a Ethan Ralph?

I feel you. But leaving $5k to $10k of your own money at the table, that you've already paid to the government out of your own pocket, just to burn through up to $10k of your own savings, that's just pants-on-head retarded, and as white trash as I could imagine. You're letting the government fuck you on both ends.

The government hates you, so it wants you to not collect.

Think about it, you have enough money to put your kid through college, then you squander it because of "muh pride," ignoring the fact that it's your own money that you've already paid, and you think you're better than it.

I don't think it's the same thing as what you're talking about, although some use it as an excuse. I think it's more a mix of laziness and feeling butthurt about being fired and not wanting to reopen trauma or something.

I think some of it could be attributed to not being used to being given gibs. It is rare that a normie white guy gets gibs in his life. At all. When it happens, the white guy thinks "I didn't need it before, I'll get through this". He doesn't know how to handle it, so tries toughing it out.
